How good is BOF 4? I have played 1 2 & 3 but not sure if i wanna start 4 ... I'll most likley try Dragons Quarter

btw how long does it take to finish BOF 4 Around?

Breath of Fire 4 is my favorite installment in the Series, it has the best Battle system and every character gameplay wise feels more "unique" when compared to to previous installments. BOF4 really sets the artistic design of the series. I love the Music, best in the series no more of that Jazzy crap. To sum it up BOF4 takes everthing BOF3 did and greatly enhances it, dont miss out on BOF4.

I concur for the most part.  Breath of Fire IV improves upon the formula and has a great story you don't want to miss out on.  The artistry in that game is absolutely beautiful!

It;s alive, IT"S ALIVEEE!

You guys make me happy. =)

Since, I posted that lengthy breakdown of the BOFseries, I started playing IV again. What a great game. Seriously. It ups every aspect of III except plot. Even than, it's still a better game because the story is alright and every other element is at it's fullest. I forgot how many animation frames enemies had and how fliud the entire experience felt. <3 it. Ershin, who started off being just, weird and comic relief ended up being my 2nd favorite member of the party. Thanks Capcom.

P.S. BOFIV will take around 50 hours. Like an RPG should.

@Capcom Moderators- Why do we not have our own thread in "Capcom Brands", It would help the community understand your importance on this series if it was moved out of "CapcomGames Discussion" sub thread, into it's own under "Capcom Brands". You could even start a thread for each installment. That would be a great way to encourage discussion and spark interest in other members besides the heavy BOF fans.

Breath of Fire was very well done.  The only thing I didn't like is that the story never resolved.  I was really hoping that Capcom would have ported that mobile phone game on two psp or ds, but it never happened.Frown

Ok you guys convinced me... BOF4 Sounds like the best BOF to date... BOF3 was absolutely AWSOME and seeing as BOF4 is an upgraded version i'd have to definatley play it... (now to find the game)

I'm dont play much RPG's but i really enjoy BOF's and I wasn't really in the mood for a really long game but by sound of it It's a must play!

Mobile phone game????

Was there a BOF mobile installment... did I miss something?

Non-conclusive never  bothers me, as long as there is SOME resolution for that particular instalment. An all conclusive ending would be like...guns of the patriots. I don't believe BOF needs that type of closure.
