For the past few days I've been heavily into playing Mega Man Star Force: Pegasus. I got it to complement my copy of Dragon, and in anticipation of Mega Man Star Force 2/Ryuusei no Rockman 2. I had also been playing Ryuusei no Rockman 2: Berserk x Shinobi, but it was my friend's copy and I gave it back.
This game is a lot of fun, especially when it comes to battling. I used to not like Star Force until seeing some cool videos of it (I played through Dragon sometime last year, but reluctantly, and didn't end up beating the game, only getting about 85% of the way through), then I picked up Dragon again last week after not playing it for almost a year and now I'm hooked!
My battle strategy is thus: hit fast, and hit with huge amounts of damage using a bare minimum of cards. Just like in Battle Network with the Battle Chips, this is still my main strategy. Also, countering comes into play in my strategy. I take the time to figure out how and when to counter an enemy's attack in every single area. Yes, I'm weird, I know.
For this point in the game (I'm at the part where....well.... how can I say this without spoiling it? I'll just say I'm at Nacy's and leave it at that), I have cards in my deck like CancerBubble and JumboHammer that hit moderately hard and cover all three rows. Right now I'm saving up for a TimeBomb, 'cause I got the Z Finder and equipped it and are now getting a lot of money. The TimeBomb itself is 50,000 Zenny, and I have about 45,000 now.
All I really need to do right now is get past this part, and get the OphiucaEX and HarpNoteEX cards, and then get the remaining money to pay for the TimeBomb.
Oh, and once I figure out if I can get Wifi here at this dorm (it's been a year and I still don't know yet!) I'm definitely gonna need some Brothers for this awesome game, and for Star Force 2 when it comes out on June 24th.
