    Megaman Zero FTW!

    Wednesday, October 15, 2008, 10:44 PM [General]

Okay guys this is it. This is my a blog showcasing my enjoyment of the Megaman series over the years as well as some Megaman art I've created. Where should we start? The olden days when I first heard of Megaman I guess.

I remember thinking about how cool Megaman was back in school. He was equals with Mario and Sonic in my mind, although I never got the chance to play any of the original games. I think it was my best friend who actually told me about Megaman. Then one day, he brought in his copy of Megaman X for the PC and I was blown away at the concept of a more serious Megaman in the future! From there I got to experience X-3 as well as Megaman 7, all of which were very cool at the time and still are today. Years later Capcom released the Megaman Anniversary Collection allowing me to experience what I never got to - CLASSIC MEGAMAN! After having played the X and Zero series I was able to apreciate their noble roots and still enjoy these games today, especially the music. Hey look! It's my collection!

I may not have every original cartridge of the MM and MMX games, but it doesn't bother me. I have them all in two great discs. Now if only Capcom would release a MM Zero Collection... That brings me to what I think is my favorite series of the MM universe... Megaman Zero.

I love the artwork they chose to go with for the Zero series. I think Zero looks a lot better in these games than in X.

I'm such a fan of that version that I own these games! You can play as him as well as the original Megaman in these titles.

Now check out my art I put together to show you guys. I hope you enjoy these!

I'm really pleased with this Zero one! They're all in watercolor and were fun to make. Thanks for the megaman games Capcom, especially the the Zero series! I hope we see some more of him somewhere. ...Like a certain new fighting game...*hint *hint

Some Megaman Art - Watercolor Style

    Saturday, October 4, 2008, 09:52 PM [General]

Check it out! As a sign of my love for the Megaman games, I made this watercolor drawing. It's like the fourth time to mess with watercolor, but it was pretty fun figuring out how it worked. I think I'd like to work that way more in the future. It measures 15" x 20". I usually work with smaller sizes, so this was sort of a challenge for me, going large scale. What do you guys think? I'm thinking about making some more pieces like this. Are there any particular MM characters you'd like to see? Thanks for looking and reading.
