I haven't seen this posted yet, so I thought I'd post a picture of the US poster that I took today after watching "The Uninvited". (I don't recommend it unless it's on DVD)

You can see Vega, Balrog, Chun Li, Gen, M. Bison, Nash, and Maya. 

If you ever played Zack and Wiki, you would know how amazingly hard the game was and how much fun.  It really made use of the Wiimote and you can't help but think and smile, "Man, Wiki's a jerk."

And can I say anything more about Okami?  It's a beautiful game and even better on the Wii. It was a game meant to be on the Wii and although it's very long, it's worth it.  Especially if you loved Zelda. 

This article explains what all of us are thinking, "There is too much crap on the Wii."  It does a bit of critic bashing, but reading review after review of Okami and Zack and Wiki, it's not the critics (they love the game), it might have to do with the Wii fanbase, they just want easy to play games that are basically N64 rehashed. 

I'm coming down from the high that was SFC and I can proudly say I beat up my boyfriend and my friend on that night, but no one else.  I've been building myself up for the game, hoping to get to go to the launch party, seriously thinking about buying or making my first Chun Li cosplay costume and wearing it at all events, and pre ordering the coolness that is the fight stick on both Amazon AND Gamestop just in case and then this happens:

 I was reading Yahoo!'s most anticipated games list and the obvious choices are there Halo Wars, God of War 3, Starcraft 2, and of course RE5. Clicking through the games and ending without seeing Street Fighter IV is a travesty. Yes, Starcraft 2 has been 11 years in the making, but we haven't had a NEW Street Fighter Game in 10 years.  The pioneers of the fighting game genre isn't mentioned in this list, not even a slight mention in RE5.  I am angry because this is a game that belongs on all anticipated list because it is really THAT cool.

Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix...I can't put the game down.  It calls to me at all hours of the night, morning, afternoon (this happens when you are unemployed). I'm like eight years old all over again playing over and over and over again. 

Once I downloaded and started playing before my friends come over strange things started happening. Everyone that comes by my place, while I'm playing, has this compulsive need to interrupt my butt kicking and asking me, "Can I get next round?" because I don't have an extra controller.  Then they rush home to download it because, "It's sexy" on my 42" Bravia. 

That's my marketing plan. Everyone here on Unity must play HD Remix before your friends come over and have them watch you play and the addiction will start all over again.

Lastly, I seriously need a 6 button controller. This console controller crap is annoying. 

While I am currently downloading SSFIITHDR (wow that's one long acronym)I thought I'd share this...again..

How many ladies out there have heard that line? I couldn't believe it, but a good friend of mine, knowing that I was formerly working at the best video game company in the world, actually said that. Why?  Here's the story:

I asked him if I could play and he said sure. I did tell him I wasn't good at the game, but I laid the Chun Li / Cammy smack down on him. He turns to me and says, "You play Street Fighter? But you're a girl.  Girls don't play Street Fighter." Apparently he's one of the better people in his group of friends that almost always wins and was surprised a girl beat him.  I told him, "It's not that I'm good, it's just you're that bad!" And then we laugh and decided to finish the game and watch Cammy's ending.

So yes, girls do play Street Fighter and play it well. So don't get all mean and cheap and start throwing your opponent just because she's a girl. Respect her as a fellow gamer and then maybe ask her out on a date later. At least you have one thing in common.
