My sister in law just finally got back from her second tour in iraq and is only home for a couple of days and then she's back to the base, but not back to iraq, only one year left in the army she's a courageous soul, please keep her and all of our other troups in your prayers this christmas while you're busy being thankful for what you have - you don't realize how lucky you are sometimes
Thank you, Becky

It's amazing how we often forget about this exact aspect of warfare. Regardless of what perceptions people have on the issue, it affects everybody for the worse (in my opinion) because we made the decision to put the lives of many who have significant relationships with friends and family in danger for their own lives. On top of that, American troops are stationed where culture is radically different from what we know. I can't imagine how hard it must be knowing that a loved one is in this situation, but I know that love knows no boundaries or limits. All soldiers carry the love of their significant others with them to the battlefield, they fight for the pride of their land, but they come back as completely different souls. My heart goes out to these soldiers who have had their lives turned completely. We shouldn't be doing this to any human being, it's just sick.
