Hello Everyone,

This is a Post about a Project I am making with a few Students. I am a 2nd Years Game Design and Development Student currently working on a XNA Game. Other Students from our school already made a name with "De Blob" for Wii. But our Team Consists of these people:

3 Game Design and Development Students [Utrecht School of arts]

3 ICT Programmers [Technical University Delft]

2 Music Students [Utrechts School of Arts]

We are/were working on this game called "Jelly Beats" for about 2.5 months now. Its a Collaboration project between two schools to make a XNA game. We were splitt into 8 groups each with their share of Students from both Schools. Every group has to make a XNA game tied to a ESRB Teen Rating. So my hopes for a Mature title were crushed.

Our game is a Music game. And next week the game goes Gold. The game consists of an Open 3D space were Jelly fish are swarming around. The player can shoot strings from on Jelly to another to Link them. When they are linked a music sample will play. More Links mean more Samples and this is how u build youre own music. However these Links can be broken by certain types of Enemies. U have to float over the links to find where they are and then u can unleash an devastating blast to keep them away from ur Link. Its very simple but very addictive.

Since a week or so I got the BETA playable on the XBOX 360 and its a lot of fun to play. We already playtested it with a lot of people and everyone seems to like it. So thats a Plus ;D .. Because the Best 2 Teams will be representing their game on the NLGD (Dutch GDC) to the Industry.

Check my Blogs for more Info about my Game and Next Week there will be a Photo Report of me Presenting the Game to Professionals..
