Sticky: Capcom Needs Your Help!

If you've been following our blog, you'll know that we regularly run focus tests and such with our community. Generally, as a thank you for participation, we compensation our volunteers with random bags of swag, the contents of which usually include one or two of the latest games, at least a couple of t-shirts, random Capcom knick-knacks and occasionally a strategy guide or two. Basically, it comes out to be a pretty decent grab bag.

Recently, we've started to run out of random shwag to give out, and along with that, ideas for new shwag.

So that's where YOU come in. If you can, design a cool shwag item that we can then make and use a give-away. Here are some guidelines on what we're looking for.

It should be Capcom themed, but probably not specific-brand themed, as that makes it harder to be always relevant. It shouldn't be expensive to make (Think along the lines of a CafePress t-shirt or mug). The design theme can also be "focus test" related, but a cool regular design theme will probably trump an average "focus test" design theme.

Now you're probably thinking, what's in it for me? Well, if your design is chosen, we'll send you, free of charge, one of the grab bags will give away at our next focus test, including the item you designed. The bag will probably contain two or three Capcom games of your choice (Please don't pick obscure older titles that we don't have in stock anymore), in addition to as many t-shirts and other goodies we can stuff in there. All in all, it should definitely make your time worthwhile.

Either PM your submission to "Lost" in the forums, or just post it in this thread.

PS: You don't actually have to draw it/photoshop/create the design. If we can understand your design/concept straight from descriptions, that will work as well.

OK, so here are a few ideas from yours truly.  :P

Mega-Man Themed Cup filled with candy goods.  This would be neat if made officially by you guys, and anyone who is a true Capcom fan would go for this.

Capcom-Unity exclusive action figure of any popular Capcom character.  (Ex. Ryu from Street Fighter, Mega Man from Mega Man, etc.)

Wall Scrolls.  Everyone loves these, and how neat it would be to have exclusive wall scrolls that feature all sorts of Capcom characters in them, I myself would love this so much.

Video game travel bags.  Maybe it simply says "Capcom" on it, I would still love this.  It could possibly hold something like a PSP, DS, Wii, PS3, or 360?

How about giving out a T-Shirt that features a lot of Capcom characters in a fight scene?

Maybe sometime you could even give out just a Capcom themed DS or PSP, and not worry about all of the other stuff in the grab bag?

A chance to come and visit you guys during a day of work?  Just an idea.  :P

What would be the best though is if you gave us beta versions of your games in works.  That would be just amazing.  ^_^

Wow, I've put a lot of thought into this.  Maybe I can add more ideas too.  ^_^

how about some resident evil branded converse shoes.... too expensive?
or maybe some cool street fighter IV wrist bands...
an okami canvas...
a custom S.T.A.R.S member ID...  or the S.T.A.R.S emblem as an iron-on patch for T-shirts.

Another idea is a vest like from Resident Evil 4 and such.  A S.T.A.R.S vest with a personalized ID tag on it maybe?  Maybe even a Capcom costume.

A God Hand t-shirt, even if it's just the screaming-at-you-huge logo used on the boxart and title screen would be "win".
I think Bigfoot is blurry. It's not the photograghers fault. . . . He's just blurry. That's extra scary to me, because now there's a large out of focus monster roaming the country side.

A shirt with the CAPCOM logo and all of CAPCOM's major characters/IPs on it and on the back the words "OFFICIAL CAPCOM LAB MONKEY."

The SOTA Darkstalkers Demitri and Lord Raptor Action figures, so at least there would be some way to get besides some silly pre order thing that hasn't moved for nearly a year.

Another addition of mine is that you send concept art to us in the grab bag.  That'd be just great.

SOTA's company has tons of Remy action figures they can't seem to get rid of, maybe you can take those off their hands and give them away as gifts?

Remy aint a bad figure, it's just no one really likes him enough to pay the shipping costs.

Here are a couple.

1)  A Resident Evil 5 promotional t-shirt

2) Any sort of small trading figures for Resident evil like the RE4 ones that came out in Japan.

3) A coupon for RE5 to get some money off the purchase when it is bought    from the Capcom site.

Just trying to keep it low costing and easy to give out.
