You'll just have to read and find out, won't you
Jason only nodded, and then gave a look to the barricade. My assumption was that he was checking to see if he thought it would really hold against those creatures. The sorrowful teacher let out a sigh, and then headed to his desk. He sat down in his chair after grabbing his gun off of one of the other desks, and started to try and get to sleep. I took a seat in one of the farthest corners of the room, plenty far away from the door and the windows. I crossed my arms after casting a glance to the windows, and then closed my eyes to fall asleep. September 28th I awoke at dawn, as I usually did, and immediately looked to the blockade. It was still there, exactly as it was last night. I rose up from the floor and stretched my arms and back. My spine made several loud popping sounds, as did my shoulders as I stretched. “Jason!” I called out to my companion who was sleeping in his chair. The middle-aged black man slowly opened his eyes, and then rubbed them a bit. “What time is it?” He asked sleepily. “It’s daybreak.” I answered, and then cleared my throat. “We need to get going. Gotta find a way out of this city A.S.A.P.” My voice was a little rougher than usual, on account of the fact that there was no heat running last night, and was thus quite cold in the school. Jason Dudley rose up from his chair, rubbing his eyes once more. He shook his head a little to try and wake himself, and then grabbed his revolver off his desk. “You know where you’re going?” “Do you?” I really hoped that the guy had lived in the city long enough to know his way around pretty well so that I wouldn’t end up wandering around again like last night. “I’ll take that as a no.” Jason said with a small smile. I just grinned a little, and then let out a small laugh. The two of us quickly got to work on moving the barricade that was in front of the classroom door. It didn’t take long to move everything out of the way, and once it was all moved we made our way toward the exit. Cautiously, the two of us walked toward the front doors when suddenly we heard what sounded like footsteps. Queer thing was that they sounded like they were coming from above us. I slowly tilted my head back so I could take a look at the ceiling, a little worried about what my eyes may fall upon. When I looked up at the ceiling I almost wished I hadn’t. Before me was a horrible creature without skin. There was just flesh, muscle, but the most disturbing part about the thing was that it had no eyes. It had massive claws on its feet and hand, if you could even call them hands. Truth be told, they looked more like lobster claws to me. The shape of the creature looked rather human, and yet it wasn’t. My jaw fell open as the beast showed its terrible fangs. Once again the monster amazed me, in a way, as the fangs were not the most frightening part of it. Like some sort of whip, its incredibly long tongue lashed out at us. I acted as quick as I could, and jumped at Jason, tackling him to the floor just in the nick of time. The tongue just hardly missed us. “What is that thing!?” My companion exclaimed in fear. “Don’t know.” I said as I rose up. “But it seems to think we’re its next meal.” I glared at the beast on the ceiling, and then drew my Barrette. I’ll teach you to screw with me. I took aim at the monster, and quickly unleashed to quick shots. My eyes widened again as the creature effortlessly jumped to the wall furthest from us, and stuck to it like some kind of frog. Or maybe I won’t. I aimed again, but this time I never even got the chance to shoot. The beast was back on the ceiling, and was working its way toward us. I fired a single shot that was dodged easily by the creature’s phenomenal speed and agility. “You jack-off! Stand still!” I couldn’t afford to waste any ammo, and this thing just wouldn’t stay in one place long enough for me to kill it. The creature jumped to the floor, and then flailed its tongue a little. Was this monster taunting me? I quickly returned the gesture, my gun still at the ready. Again, the beast unleashed its whip-like tongue, but this time around I was prepared for it. With one shot from my 9mm I blasted about 2 or 3-feet of its tongue right off. The monster let out a horrible high-pitched scream of pain before retracting what was left of its tongue. “What now, freak?” I quickly fired a few rounds into the head of my opponent, knowing it would be a little stunned from the large amount of damage it had just taken. The monster had flipped back onto its back, its arms and legs a bit out to the sides and up off the floor. It kind of looked like a sleeping dog in a way. I watched the creature for a few seconds to see if I could notice the ribs moving at all caused by breathing. Nothing. The beast was dead. I holstered my gun, and then looked to the man behind me. “Let’s go.” I said as I nodded toward the front doors that were just pass the dead monster. When the two of us got outside we weren’t sure what to expect, but it didn’t matter. Nothing could have prepared us for what we saw. Zombies were roaming everywhere we looked, some of them wearing RPD uniforms. Cars and other vehicles were flipped over and aflame. Windows were shattered, and glass was just about everywhere. A mere fifty some feet away from us a small group of zombies had just gotten their fill of a poor teenage boy. As I looked around at the utter chaos one thought ruled my mind: This must be Hell. It has to be. “God have mercy on us all.” I heard Jason mutter as he looked about. Quickly my mind entered what I call ‘battle-mode’, and my objective was the only thing on my mind. We had to get out of Raccoon City, no matter what. “Come on.” I said to Jason as I drew my handgun, and started toward the street. The two of us made our way out to the road, where the many zombies awaited us. Luckily, the creatures were quite slow, and we didn’t even have to deal with a fair amount of them. “Aim for the head!” I said to Jason as I started firing at the zombies nearest to me. The two of us made quick work of the fiends, and speedily headed down the street. Seeing as how Jason’s firearm was a 6-round revolver I knew he had to be running low on ammunition. So, with a simple gesture of my hand I directed Mr. Dudley to follow me into a gun shop only about 20-feet from our current position. Once inside we found several dead bodies lying on the floor only inches pass the entrance. Luckily, it seemed that only one of them was actually human. I shook my head a little at the sight, and then cautiously made my way behind the counter with Jason just behind me. I grabbed a few boxes of 9mm bullets, and some shotgun rounds. “Stock up on ammunition. You also may want to grab yourself a secondary weapon.” I said as I reached for a shotgun that hung on the wall. “Good idea.” Jason grabbed a few boxes of Magnum bullets for his gun, and then pulled an automatic rifle off the wall right next to the shotgun I had just grabbed. He looked around a bit, searching for a magazine to go in the thing. I knelt down, and pulled a couple magazines from the bottom shelf near where I had gotten my handgun ammo. “Here.” I said as I tossed the magazines to Jason. Dudley caught the magazines with his free hand, and then gave me a nod. He loaded in one magazine, and then slipped the other into his pocket. He put the strap on over his head so he wouldn’t have to carry the gun in hand, and then pulled his Magnum from his back pocket. He quickly loaded the gun, and then gave me one more nod. I returned the nod, and then we were off. We went through the side door of the gun shop, and entered a somewhat narrow alley. Already we could hear the moans of the undead freaks that were taking over the city. We both readied our handguns, and carefully started down the alleyway. It wasn’t long before Jason and I found ourselves between two hordes of zombies. We were at a four-way path, and had a group of zombies coming at us from the right and the left. However, that wasn’t the worst of it. Just up ahead was a spider, seeming to be a kind of tarantula. The thing was absolutely massive, and when I say massive I mean massive. The arachnid before us was even bigger than me, lengthwise and widthwise, but was, of course, shorter than I am. Neither the zombies, nor the spider was wasting any time getting to us, so we had to think fast. There were too many for us to kill all of them and still have enough ammo to last the day, so we had to choose a path. “Focus on the bug!” I shouted, and then started blasting away at the huge spider that was only feet in front of me. With a few shots from my 9mm and Jason’s Magnum the spider curled its legs in, and died. We didn’t waste a single second, and immediately ran down the alley to get as far away from the zombies as we could. ~Wesker~ |

(Dates have been changed. After checking some stuff on 3: Nemesis I came to find out that it was the 28th that the monsters took over)
The two of us raced down the maze-like alleys of Raccoon City, trying to find the one behind the cry. Again, a feminine scream could be heard. We made a sharp turn, and there we saw a ground of about 7 zombies nearing a young Hispanic woman. I fired off a couple rounds at the horde, killing two of the undead freaks. From behind me I could hear Jason’s Magnum going off, and in that very instant I saw another zombie go down. As I got closer to the small crowd I holstered my 9mm. I swiftly leapt into the air, and executed an aerial spin-kick, striking one of the zombies hard in the head. The creature was sent to the ground, and once I myself had landed, I quickly pulled up my left pant leg, and drew my well-sized hunting knife that had been sheathed on the lower section of my left leg. I tossed the knife to my right hand, and started rapidly slashing and stabbing away at the zombie before me. The creature soon fell dead to the ground, and I got to work on the next. I turned the zombie to its side as fast as I could, and rammed my blade through the back of his head. I shoved the monster off my blade to the ground, and then stabbed the knife into the zombie that had been standing behind him. I twisted the blade in the stomach of the creature, and it only moaned, even when I pulled the blade up and out of him. Somehow the undead jerk was still standing. I glared at the monster, and then flicked the blood off of my weapon. A streak of red went across the asphalt in front of me just before I flipped my knife around, and held it with the tip down. I quickly brought the blade up, and then with a slight drop of my arm and a snap of my elbow I ran the blade of my hunting knife right through the zombie’s forehead. I pushed on the monster, and pulled on the handle of my weapon, drawing it out from the creature’s skull. I flicked some more blood off my knife after my enemy had hit the ground, and then sheathed it. “Are you okay?” I asked as I looked to the young woman. Before she could answer Jason’s powerful revolver went off again. I spun around just in time to see the zombie I had kicked before fall to the ground, now headless. I gave my accompanying person a thumbs-up and a smile, and he did the same to me. Jason started approaching just as I turned back to the young woman. I could see that she was obviously a little startled by the sudden gunshot, so I asked once more: “You okay?” “I’m alright. Just a bit out of breath.” She replied, sounding a little winded. “Do you have a name?” “My name is Veronica. Veronica Diaz.” The girl was wearing a pink T-Shirt, and black jeans. She had on some pink on black running shoes, and a diamond ring on her left ring finger. She was a rather attractive young lady. She had nearly black irises, and think, curly shoulder length dark brown hair, which for some odd reason made me think of curly fries, maybe it was the fact that I hadn’t eaten in about a day. She was slender, stood at about five-feet two-inches, and was a bit flat in the chest region, but her simply gorgeous face certainly made up for it. “This is my friend Jason Dudley,” I said as Jason came up beside me. “Hello miss.” Jason said kindly with a smile on his face. “Hello.” Veronica replied, still sounding a bit shaken up. “And I’m Benjamin Jessup. You can call me Ben.” A slight grin crossed my face, but soon faded away. “It’s nice to meet you both. Thank you so much for saving me.” “Are you out here alone?” I asked. Though it certainly did seem that she was alone, I thought that maybe she had been separated from a friend, or something. “I am.” Said Veronica. “I was on my way to meet with my fiancé so we could get out of the city, but those things chased me all the way over here.” “I see. You and your fiancé don’t live together?” “We’re not married.” “Quaint.” My features lit with glee as I spoke to the young lady. “I like you already.” I added, my grin broadening a little. “Say, do you happen to know a way out of these alleys?” I asked commonly, my expression a bit bland. “I do.” Ms. Diaz answered with a nod. “I could lead you out, if you like.” “That would be excellent.” Jason replied with his smile unfading. It didn’t take but a moment for Veronica to lead us out to the streets, where we saw that more havoc had already been wreaked. There were a couple police cars blocking the road, both of which were on fire. A couple corpses lied on the street, one of which had a police uniform on. “Oak Street?” I heard Jason say from my left. I could tell by the sound of his voice that something was wrong. “Something wrong Oak Street?” I asked as I turned my head to him. I looked pass the teacher, and saw the street sign he was staring at. “Not exactly. It’s just that we went the completely wrong way to get to where we’re going.” He replied as he turned around to look at me. “Dang it.” Those seemed to be my favorite words these days, as I uttered them more than most any other words in my vocabulary. I looked out to the road again, and sighed heavily. “How far off?” “Pretty far.” “Dang it.” I scuffed my boot along the sidewalk. “How long do you think it will take to get to Jyun?” “I don’t know. It usually takes about thirty minutes by car.” Said Jason. “You two are headed for Jyun Valley?” Veronica asked. “Yeah.” I responded as I turned to the young Hispanic woman. “Speaking of which, you should probably come with us. Not safe for you to be out here by yourself.” ~Wesker~ |

Thank you both very much for your compliment, but remember you can give constructive criticism. @Azriel: I think I'll let them find it themselves. However, if you wish to tell them about it, you may :)
“Thank you, but I can’t leave the city, not yet.” It was plain to see that the young woman was obviously troubled by something more than just the zombies roaming about. “I have to find my fiancé.” I let out a small sigh, and then turned to the south, which was to my right. “Well Jason, what do you say?” “Uhm… Could you rephrase the question?” He requested from behind me. “You wanna head for Jyun, or you want to help her find her guy?” I slowly turned around as I spoke, my expression rather blank. “Wouldn’t be right to just leave her here to fend for herself.” I gave Jason a nod, and then took a step over to Veronica. “Alright Veronica, we’ll help you find your fiancé.” “Oh, I couldn’t ask you two to do that.” “You’re not asking us, we’re telling you.” I responded the very second she was done with her sentence. I smiled crookedly, and then gave Ms. Diaz a friendly wink. “So, which way are we going?” “I’ll lead you.” Veronica said with a smiled of her own. “You know how to use one of these?” Jason asked as he held his Magnum out in front of him for Veronica to take. “Yes, I do.” Veronica took the 6-round revolver in her right hand, and then gave Jason a nod and a grin to show her thanks. “Here. You’ll need these as well.” Mr. Dudley pulled a box of Magnum bullets from his pocket, and gave them Veronica. He then pulled the fully automatic rifle around from his back, and held it at the ready. “Lead the way, Ms. Diaz.” I said after drawing my 9mm. Veronica gave me a small nod before she started walking across the road. Jason and I followed close by, our guns in hand. As we started down one of the streets we saw yet another small group of zombies. They were standing around the road, just sort of swaying back and forth. We cautiously made our way toward another side street, and then I saw Veronica get ready to fire on one of the zombies that was a good 15-feet away from us. “Don’t waste your ammo.” I said as I placed a hand on her elevated right arm. “By the time one of these chumps realizes we’re here we’ll almost be gone.” I said quietly so not to draw attention to us. The young woman looked at me for a little bit, and then turned to the undead freak before her. She lowered her weapon, and then started back toward the side street. I put both hands back on my firearm, and proceeded to follow Ms. Diaz. (Having a little computer trouble. I'll write & post more later) ~Wesker~ |

As we continued heading north, toward her fiancé’s home, we came across even more zombies. The vile creatures had taken over the city, and only in a matter of days. We easily, and quickly disposed of the few that got too close, and then, after sometime of running, we reached a residential area. It was plain to see that it was once a pleasant, peaceful neighborhood for those in the middle-class. However, it had become a little piece of Hell on Earth.
Everywhere you looked there were zombies roaming about. The poor devils must have tried to hide from the monsters in their houses; I guess that didn’t work so well. Their numbers were great, and even if we did manage to shoot them in the head every time we probably wouldn’t have enough ammunition to kill them all. I quickly examined the situation, and then turned to Veronica, who had come to a halt like Jason and I. “Which house is his?” “That one.” She pointed across the way to a white house with green trim. “Three zero seven.” Ms. Diaz stated the address. “Alright, here’s the plan: we’re running and shooting. Anything gets too close to you, you blow it’s head off, otherwise just keep moving toward that house.” I spoke in a way I hadn’t for years—like a commander. “Let’s move.” I quickly started toward the house, my gun at the ready. As one of the zombies detected me, and started to slowly move in to attack I merely took aim at her head, and fired. From behind me I could hear the Magnum that Veronica was wielding being shot a couple times. After a few seconds I heard a volley of shots being fired from Jason’s automatic rifle. A group of 3 zombies stood in the narrow median, blocking my path. I stopped, aimed, and fired at their heads. I started from the left, and worked my way over to the right. Like shooting down tin cans. I thought to myself. Just then I heard a loud groan from behind and to the left of me. I spun around, and a mere 4 or so feet in front of me was one of the undead with his arms stretched out to grab me as he sluggishly walked in my direction. I aimed my 9mm at the monster’s head, and then pulled the trigger. All I got was a click. The magazine was freaking empty, and I didn’t have the time to reload. Terror filled my eyes. My heart raced. My palms started to sweat. I was completely terrified, but not of dying. No, I was scared of not dying—afraid of becoming one of them. I holstered my gun, and drew my knife as fast as I possibly could, which was just fast enough. The instant I had the handle in my grasp I shoved the blade right through the zombie’s throat. “Ben! Come on!” I heard Jason call for me. Somehow he and Veronica had gotten ahead of me, and were in the front yard of the house. My heart rate went down just before I heard the voice of Mr. Dudley call from afar. I withdrew my knife from the neck of the beast, and watched as it fell backward on the ground. I speedily flicked the blood off my blade, and started charging toward the house where Jason & Veronica were waiting for me. You’re blockin’ my way, son! I thought as I looked at a zombie that was standing around in the yard, which I would’ve ran right into if I were to continue on the path I had chosen. I carefully, but quickly, grabbed the blade of the knife with my right hand, and then sent it flying at the zombie end over end. The blade impaled the head of the creature, and sent it to the ground. Without slowing my pace I veered to the right just a little, and stooped down to wrench my weapon free from the skull of the monster. “Nicely done.” Jason said as I joined him by the door. “Came with lots of practice.” I said with a small smile as I flicked the blood off of my knife, and then held it tightly, just in case we came in contact with some more creatures inside the house. ~Wesker~ |
