You heard about the Spyborgs presentation at Captivate ‘09, now see it for yourself.
GameSpot stopped by and captured video of their personal hands-on presentation. My co-op presenter at Captivate, Capcom Design Director Kraig Kujawa, provides the voice-over walkthrough. The other player, with those mad skillz failing at motion moves, is none other than GameSpot’s own Ricardo Torres. (In all fairness, by the end he's succeded at most of them, which nicely demonstrates how quickly players pick up the controls and get into the fun.)
Since this is raw footage of a pre-Alpha build (and I wasn’t there to present it to you :-) ), I feel compelled to share a few build notes with everyone:
As Kraig points out, this demo is constructed of polished pieces of different stages. The actual stages play longer than what you see here and there are a few additional ones between each of those you see here.
Kraig also mentions how the Hero Upgrade Screen is not yet in place, so you’ll see us trigger a few upgrades via the Pause Menu.
Clandestine’s sword upgrade is a work in progress. It’s in there to show an example of what we will do. Get ready for the real thing coming soon!
The “Terminator Boosters” are difficult to see in this video. We’ll go into details on our motion controls in the future, but imagine Kraig doing a two-fisted, overhead slam with the Wii Remote and Nunchuk as he demonstrates Bouncer’s heavy attack combo after turning on that upgrade.
Music is placeholder. We didn’t have all of it in time for Captivate. It’s actually getting implemented this week.
HUD prompts and controls for the special moves have already improved since this build.
Our special, co-op Team Attack sequences are cutting off a second too soon in this demo; cutting off before the satisfying explosion of the enemy. We’ve fixed that bug and we're in the process of enhancing the cameras, animations, and special effects for those sequences.
Last but not least, enjoy seeing more of the boss battle against Eighty-Six than we meant to reveal online after Captivate – a good bit of phase 1 and a tease of phase 2. You hear Kraig comment on how he thinks it’ll fade out right away and then surprise as it continues. I figured since this is already out on the net at GameSpot, I might as well share it with you all!

Pretty solid vid. The game looks good thus far.
