Emmy nominated composer Bear McCreary (Battlestar Galactica, Caprica, Eureka, Dark Void & more) has been awesome enough to agree to do a live Q&A at Comic Con from our booth for our Ustream broadcast on Saturday at 4PM PDT!
We'll be grilling him on Dark Void and Dark Void Zero's soundtracks and his love of Capcom games (after all, he did label his hard drives with Mega Man robot masters), as well as anything else you all want him to talk about!
Leave your questions for Bear in the comments (seriously, ask him anything!) and tune in on Saturday at 4PM PDT!

It'll be hard to miss the giant Capcom circle sign hanging above as well as our giant LED TV screen showcasing our hottest new game trailers.

Today at 1:30pm PDT we're going to start our live stream Unity Recap. We'll catch up on the past two weeks of Unity goodness, from blogs, forums, comments, and everything else awesome. You can hop in the chat and ask us questions live, but you can start right now by leaving a comment to this blog!
Leave a comment below with any questions you want to ask, or cool things on Unity you want to point out to us.
We're going to be tossing out all our old lame emoticons with brand new Capcom themed ones here on Capcom-Unity! We want you guys to help us out by creating some of the new emoticons. They can be animated, still images, anything Capcom related you can come up with. Just remember these need to be tiny, so try not to make them too big or detailed. This will mean replacing the emotes used all over the site, from the blogs, messages, broadcasts, forums, and everywhere else they're used on Unity. For reference, there's some examples of things you can do below, but that's hardly the limit.
More details on how you can help below.
These are the old emotes, so we'll need to replace these. However, we can add in all sorts of others. The sky is the limit. Create something from any Capcom game you wish you had an emote for.
Monster Hunter, Street Fighter, Dead Rising, Ace Attorney, Bionic Commando, Devil May Cry, Lost Planet, Mega Man, Okami, Resident Evil, Zack & Wiki, and Ghost Trick are just a few of the brands you can use as a start. If you can think of something to create for one of them, we want to see it.
Once you make your emoticons, you can send them in a private message to me. We'll go through them, and pick our favorites to use on the site. Get to it!
This a reminder to send me (via PM) your Capcom Unity stories! We want to hear from you folks in the community about your experiences with Capcom! Please check the original blog post for details, and remember, we encourage you to write more for this one! Some of the stories that have already come through include:
TWO couples meeting over their love of Mega Man
THREE community members that were critically injured or sick and played Capcom games to help them recover
FOUR artists inspired by Capcom games
FIVE community members that took up martial arts after playing Street Fighter
And much more! Please take the time to write your own Capcom Unity story! We'll be using them for something special soon!
We've officially started our 4th of July holiday weekend! Our weekly recap will return next week: as apologies, please accept this Mega Man figure created by Capcom Unity member Jaime!
In the meantime, what are you playing this weekend? Let us know in the comments! And feel free to look for fellow Unity members to play with in our forums!
Welcome to our brand new fan art contest! We've previously had Mega Man related fan art contests tied to Mega Man 10 and Mega Man Zero Collection and now, we're doing things a bit different. Given Capcom's large library of characters and franchises, I wanted to give you folks free reign in combining your favorites! Chun Li and Roll? Go for it. Viewtiful Joe and Deviljho, Blanka and Wily, etc etc. Go crazy! We want to see stuff that has never been seen before (just...keep it PG-13 please).
Hit the jump for details!
TO ENTER: Send me a private message by Monday, July 12th at 9AM PDT with a link to your art (it must be something completely new, include SOME type of Capcom crossover, and you may only use Capcom characters) and the subject "CAPCOM WORLDS FAN ART". Please include a brief explanation of your art with your entry. One entry per person.
THE PRIZE: The winners (as judged by an internal Capcom panel featuring staff from NA, Europe, and Japan) will win their choice of various prizes which includes: a Mega Man t-shirt signed and drawn on by Inafune-san, an autographed (by Inafune-san) Zombrex: Dead Rising Sun movie script (this is pending), an autographed copy of Monster Hunter Tri (signed by the producer and director), RE5 poster signed by the dev team, and MORE.
We are very happy to announce the winner of the Capcom animated gif contest, dhim! Congrats! You get a random bag of stuff from Seth Killian's cube (huzzah!). Send me a PM with your name and address!
Be sure to check out all the fantastic entries in the comments of our original post (including 2 Snow animated gifs and one of me)!
