You sound like you'd want to include Dante in the current Darkstalkers canon timeline. There are a couple difficulties with this: 1) remember Darkstalkers has a timeline with actual defined years. I believe one of them took place in like 1989, so.. unless you do time travel, it might not work out with the current Dante. And 2) I don't think anyone has any idea where Darkstalkers 4 would go. The original Darkstalkers series is -very- concluded (like 80% of the cast has either died, stopped existing, or has no reason to fight). So whether he could be worked in, no one can really tell.

That's true, Devil May Cry is set in modern times.

Well it could be set in the future since Darkstalkers are mostly monsters that never age.

Unless they change succubi or vampire and a Frankenstein aging factor which would be silly.

But I dunno if they would continue with the story at the current time when DS ended then it would be a problem.

Unless it would be a story about Sparda, though his story isn't entirely clear.

But I'd prefer Nero TBH, he's more physical with attacks.

It depends. I think that Dante from DMC3 would probably fit in. I dunno lol. Sounds like a tight idea.

dante would definately pump new life into dark stalkers.thinking about it technically he's a monster too so it would actually make sense.i just hope they would make a 2d version of dante in some fighting game.The question is would a 2d fighter do well at this point without a crazy cross-over with another company or a huge cast of characters?plus how long would it take?udon making a high definition dark stalkers?sounds a bit weird considering how amazing dark stalkers art work already is.hope to see more darkstalkers character inclusion in the future from capcom but preferably other characters other than morrigan.and for god's sake don't create a limited ridiculous character line up like capcom fighting evolution ever again.progression of 2d fighting requires adding features not removing them!if you have a team of two characters please let them fight simultaneously or tag in during the match.that game could have been great.

Just because he go well with darkstalkers doesn`t mean he should ne in.Dante is a dmc characters,darkstalkers are darkstalkers characters.I dont want to see characters from other capcom games just because they go well with darkstalkers.
