I am a huge fan of working out and fitness in general. It is something that I have been active in starting at the age of 13 and something I have done with much greater intensity as I got older.
21 years later, it has grown beyond the need to be strong or look good and has turned into a meaningful part of my life and who I am. Bodybuilding is an amazing thing in that it gives back just as much as you put into it. You test yourself every time you put flesh to iron and you can see just what you are capable of. You can also see the power the mind has when it comes to pushing yourself to the limits of what you think you can do.
The principles of discipline, dedication, drive and hard work are at the core of bodybuilding and most other sports. These principles are something that apply to not just working out, but to everyday life.
If you have been thinking about taking better care of yourself, do it today. You owe it to yourself to be the most healthy, happiest person you can be. Set a goal, do some research and get to it!
Here is a great quote from Arnold:
Strength does not come from winning. Your struggles develop your strengths. When you go through hardships and decide not to surrender, that is strength.
