About Me:
I'm a veteran entertainer whose career began in the 1970s. A few of my distinctions are:
The World's Loudest Drummer
Creator of the dance music genre known today as "Freestyle"
Most Famous Bear Drummer
I backed 2006 OutMusician of the Year Robert Urban on drums at the 2006 OutMusic Awards in New York City
One of my movies, "Real Magic" (2006), where I played the pot smoking biker, Brian, won Best Picture and my co-star, Diana Masi, the Jury Award for Best Actress at the NYC Home Film Festival in America, then went on to win Best Cinematography for our DP, Boaz Freund, at another festival in Canada
The Ray-Ban "Never Hide" commercial, where I appeared as the naked bear fixing his car, won great notices at the Cannes Film Festival, 2007, in France
Nominated "Best Musician" at the 2007 Bear Music Awards in Nashville
Second screen actor to portray Zangief
"Street Fighter: The Later Years" was nominated for Best Series at the 2008 YouTube Awards
I worked as a stand-up comic for years before I did music full time. I'd always acted on stage, on film and in television so, when my music career cooled off, I went into acting more aggressively and was, by then, playing mainly bad guys but also edgy father figures.
I became most famous this decade as Drummer Bear, the popular nude model for the bear community worldwide of which I am also a member. DrummerBear.com has held its own list of distinctions since then.
Today, my biggest claim to fame is that I star as the hairy Russian Wrestler and Street Fighter legend, Zangief, in the phenomenally successful hit series, "Street Fighter: The Later Years" (CHTV). My fame as Drummer Bear has now been completely overshadowed by Zangief! On the streets I am addressed mainly as Zangief now. I am slated to reprise the role in its new TV spin-off, "Street Fighter Reunion", which is currently in production.

In this new comedy short from Blinky Productions (currently developing the new "Final Fight" feature film), I get to play Zangief once again prior to my eventual portrayal of him in the forthcoming "Street Fighter Reunion" spin-off of SF:TLY.
Here, Zangief is coaching Brimstone in preparation for his bout with, according to The Red Cyclone, a "brutal and bloodthirsty opponent".
For those of you who haven't seen it, the outcome is pretty ugly.
Directed by Chris R. Notarile and also starring Kim Santiago.
Hope you can join us on Wednesday, April 8th, at 7:00 PM ET (USA). Zangief and I (yes, both of us) will be appearing together on Jerry Butler's live call-in show. I am so very grateful to have been invited to Street Fighter Club and in my old hometown, too!
By sheer coincidence, as were were approaching the venue in the cab, I pointed out the window to my companions and hosts from Street Fighter Devotion to show them the actual entrance to the Zaragoza Gym where the big Street Fighter Tournament was shot for SF:TLY. That gated entrance is where Ryu was seen exiting to chase E. Honda down the street. This was just a few blocks from, and on the same street as, the Street Fighter Club event!
I just can't thank enough the REALLY groovy people at Capcom (it's okay; I'm a boomer so I can say "groovy") for giving their fans a first crack at Street Fighter IV! It is awesome on so many levels (and I don't mean just playing levels)! The graphics and animation are out of this world and the visual motif of paint and ink are stunning to look at! Easily the best Street Fighter yet!
I've also got to be the luckiest Street Fighter alive to have gotten to meet so many dynamite SF fans in person in one place! I was treated with such an outpouring of love and I feel absolutely the same in return!
Street Fighter fans are, hands down, among the coolest people in the world and what an honor it is to meet you!
Spinning Piledriving hugs and much, much, love and respect to each and every one of you!
