This blog entry is for the top 10 games in no particular order that I am anticipating the most this year. Most of these games are coming out pretty soon some are coming out later during the year. Well anyways here is my list

10. Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep

I have been a Kingdom Hearts fan since the first one and to finally have another installment in the series is awesome. Though I could import the game I'd rather wait for the US release since I'm more use to the English voice overs.

09. Super Street Fighter IV

Come on who doesn't have this on their list? Street Fighter is what made me a gamer. Without Street Fighter II for the SNES I would of never been introduced to this great series. With SSFIV coming out it makes me even more excited to see Capcom paying attention to one of the best franchise in gaming history.

08. Yakuza 3

Thats right Yakuza 3. The one series few people have heard of. Its a series that didn't get the attention it deserved. At first when I heard that Yakuza 3 had a slim chance coming out in the US I was devestated. So I imported. As soon as I imported it they announce a release date for the US. Sega really likes to screw me over lol. But this game is gonna be awesome and I can't wait to see what happens next.

07. Final Fantasy XIII

Ah Final Fantasy XIII how I've waited for you since I got my PS3. I followed this game like it was a religion to me. Final Fantasy is one of my most favorite RPG's of all time even though I didnt' like FFXII that much. All the Final Fantasy games have always amazed me with the story telling and the combat system. So it is no surprise that this game will amaze me even more.

06. The Last Guardian

To be honest I never played ICO before. I know what kind of gamer am I that I never played ICO. To be ICO never interested me but Shadow of the Colossus did. Since SoC I have been waiting for the next part in the storyline. And with The Last Guardian coming out my prays have been answered.

05. Heavy Rain

Heavy Rain another game I have been waiting for since the release of the PS3. Ever since I played Indigo Prophecys for the PS2 I knew I couldn't wait for the next game like it. Heavy Rain is the perfect game between telling a story and entertaining the gamer at the same time. Though Heavy Rain is no Action adventure game it is a game that stands on its own with its own genre. I call it Adventure Story.

04. Alan Wake

I'm a sucker for psycho-thriller games and Alan Wake is what that is. From what I've seen the game reminds me of the old horror type games. You play as a writer who has to fight a dark force to save his wife. Thats what I like about the game your playing an ordinary guy not a soldier whos been trained to kill. This game will more likely be one of the few games I will enjoy on the 360.

03. Splinter Cell Conviction

The Splinter Cell series. Oh how I love and hate them at the same time. I love it for the stealth and storyline. I hate it for the difficulty it can be once in a while. But with this latest version coming out I am really excited.

02. 3D Dot Game Hero

A game that all LoZ fans and SNES fans should definetly look into. The game is like LoZ but for the PS3. Its basically LoZ but for the PS3. The game is look terrific for its 3D/2D graphic style. This game will one of those rare gems that come around during this generation of gaming consoles. Don't miss out on it.

01. Ace Attorney Investigations: Miles Edgeworth

OBJECTION! This game will not just be great but it will totally rock! I am so glad I picked up this series for my DS when I had the chance. Since then I have loved each and every game in the series. I can wait for this game to finally get the chance to play Edgeworth.

Just recently I finished Apollo Justice the fourth installment in the Ace Attorney series. Though the game did not have the main characters from the first 3 return the new main characters were perfect. This is my review of the game and what I thought was great and what I thought could of been improved.

Pros

Story:

The story for each case were amazing and had me surprised everytime. Some have said that the cases in Apollo Justice weren't as great as the ones from the previous games but I disagree. The first case was exciting and challenging and gave me a jaw dropping moment. The one thing that I like about the cases were that they always found a way to connect so many things together even though at first it seemed like they couldn't have been connnected at all. All 4 cases were challenging and fun. But for some reason when I was on the 3rd case my game didn't let me progress so I had to start over the chapter from the checkpoint. But other then that I think the cases from this game were great.

Characters:

When the game was first announced people couldn't wait to jump back in Phoenix Wrights shoes, but to their disappointment a new character took the stage. And this character was Apollo Justice hence the title of the game. I was like everyone else too when I first heard this. I felt like it was Metal Gear Solid 2 Sons of Liberty all over again. Instead of Snake we got Raiden. Instead of Phoenix we got Apollo. But when I started playing the game I found out that Apollo was just as great as a character as Phoenix was. Apollo was a great main character. He's funny and always seems to be talking to himself just like Phoenix. His character design was simple but yet fitting for his character. Also in this game the other main character was changed. Instead of Maya we have Trucy. For me Trucy I instantly liked from the beginning. She had a cute look and always made me laugh with her Mr. Hat trick. The prosecutor in this game was also good. Kalvier Gavin was the new prosecutor in Apollo Justice. His character was unique. Kalvier wasn't just a prosecutor but he is also a Rock Star! Though Kalvier is the prosecutor he seemed like the perfect character to replace Edgeworth in this game. Hes strong and ruthless person in court but as soon as the case ends hes a completely different character onces it come to music. The supporting cast in the game were good but for me at least I didn't like them as much as the ones from the previous ones. To avoid spoilers I won't be talking about them much.

Gameplay

The gameplay was exactly the same as the previous ones. The only differences is that instead of the Magatama that Phoenix had Apollo has a bracelet that lets him see his witnesses nervousness. Can't really explain it have to play the game to understand. Their are also some little mini games during the investigation part. The mini games were fun and short which was good.

Cons

Flashbacks

Not sure why but when I was playing Apollo Justice the game seemed to treat the players like they were short termed. The reason I say this is because during the entire game they give you flash backs, but not flash backs from the past but a flash back of an event that just recently happened. Sure its the remind the player of what just happened and to show the player an important part to remember but after seeing the same flash back 10 times it gets really annoying.

This is my review of Apollo Justice. I made this purely on what I thought and in no way am I trying to change anyone elses opinion on the game. If I had to rate this game I would give it a 4/5 because its a perfect addition to the series but felt short compared to the previous ones.
