Heads up everyone -- after many requests, I've set our DRM to be more lenient.

Previously - You could have Flock installed on 5 machines at the same time.  You could uninstall to get a machine back.  You could reinstall on the same hardware infinitely with no problems.  If you used up all five (on unique machines) and for some reason couldn't uninstall from any of those five machines, you could call us and we'd grant you more installs.

Now - Limits on the number of copies you can concurrently install have been removed (just make sure your 50 installs of flock is compliant with the EULA :P)

I know this has been a sticking point for a few of you, so hopefully you find this to be an equitable compromise :)

Even if i don't really have a problem with multiple installations (hardly i reach... 2-3), i really appreciate your decision on that. One way or another, this "feature" is kinda a punishment/restriction for the legal customers and it's nice to see that you do care about them. Keep it up, you gained a level on my faith-o-meter... :P ;)

That's great to hear!  I bought Flock last night on Impulse without noticing that it was from Capcom at first(nothing against Capcom's games, it's just that I skipped AoB due to activation limitations and was worried that I might have to skip all Capcom games should the same DRM be used), and looked back at the store page to see that I had bought something with activation limitations.  I had come here to express my dissapointment with Flock's DRM only to find this thread.  So... thanks, this is good news since I'm fine with online activations that are unlimited.  I'm also fine with activation limitation as long as those limitations have an expiration date like Egosoft's X3 games (activation limits are only imposed for the first year and are then removed).

Thanks again for the good news. :)

1 step forward in the right direction.

+1 to awesomeness.

I wasn't familiar with this issue, but does this apply to the Steam version or just the Digital Download version through the Capcom store? I thought Steam had unlimited installs.

Both, you now have unlimited installs at both locations.

Now what about Age of booty? It still has install limits on impulse and steam as well.
