    awsome in theory. but heres where the game takes a nosedive, mai is gone, yuri is gone. added are characters im sure are famous however id have liked to see a few more of the favorites.

    the story is, 3 fighters join a tournament. ok we get it, but each fighter has a STORY right? well by now snk has decided we should kno terry andy joe ryo robert & kyo's stories so this is a generic fighting story.

    the unlockables are galleries, eh it ok.

    no bossmatch eh i guess,

    snk kof games never had much of an ending unless you used teams (andy terry joe, robery ryo, takuma, ect)

    online play is the main thing here, love it, but thats what the game has no soloability, no pre determined teams,

    all in all its a great game to play online but if you cant play it online your in for a letdown.

    on the upside graphics are pretty good, sounds great,

    replayablitity eh 3 out of 5 only due to the respect i have & love for snk games, i DO kind of regret buying kof12 but it is a nice change of pace & ill probably end up getting mvc2 but in a few months

    customized character/generic story mode

    ok i blogged this earlier as a rant but it seems to be a decent idea

    so its a generic story bout fighter XXXXX & his path to get an invite to the world warrior tounrney.

    at the selection screen you choose who you want your characters general style to be like.  so if your used to playing with ryu, you choose him as a template, edit his colors in the customize window as well as what outfit he wears.

    when you start its basically you in a DOJO  or school that you name, in a country you decide. very generic. but this is to save the developers time & money lol

    so you start out on your journey fighting in story mode where fighters fight matches. progression depends on the players playstyle. if you play defensivley you gain defense atributes, if your an agressive fighter you gain offensive attributes automaticly.

     eventually you learn your skillsets where you have to take time to train.

    at the end of the story you get your invitation to the world warriors tourney.

    after you play thru story mode your character is selectable in vs cpu & online mode where you gain reputation for your school & you get cool lil items (brass knuckles or sunglasses or something) this all effects how the world sees dojo XXXX. if you beat another customized character, you gain dojo signs (maybe like the titles???)

     you could also save your character to a memorycard to play in sancioned tourneis & get credit for play. winners could get items for there guy or dojo signs/ trophies for the dojo.

    your characters would also be uploaded to capcom & they would own the rights to it.

    later they can come out with new modes & mini games for your customized character to win.

    its an idea lol

    the FIX issue blasted & an alternitive customized character idea

    ok heres the thing, at the rate of sounding like a butnugget i gotta say this.

    if your having trouble dealing out the pain as a character, GO PRACTICE a lil.

    i mean come on guys, heck i used to rock as ryu & guile now i dont, its not the balance its that im out of practice & my skill level needs improving.

    now im better as fei long but only because everyones so stuck on ryu, ken, sagat, akuma & sakura that when i fight em i win alot more than if i fight someone like honda & chun li

    this is a comonation of my skill level, there skill level & the predictability of the shotogan klan.

    if i beat sagat then the user using him shouldnt base everything round a high tigershot then mix it with a low one. that methods had been used since streetfighter 2 champion ed lol it wont work as often.

    make use of his limbs, dont jump in as often. sagats limbs are long & deal nice damage.

    & for the life of sagat block. dont get into fireball fights if you cant exicute them every time.

    dont always rely on his uppercut, the knee is a great advance & if it connects it deals damage & thats the point right?

     i played a mmo awhile back where there was a prestige class, once unlocked you deal BIG damage at max lvl you could solo things that required raids. but the reason for that is that 1 out of every 80 or so dropped the item we needed.

    keep in mind this class took forever to unlock, i mean you had to master skills coming out the yangyong. then wait for a dude to show up (he appered 1x a week) then he sent you to a hidden village in an area where the cl was rarely soloed. then every 4 weeks the guys in the village gave you a mission set. you must finish these in that time frame & was annoying. & once you did it your always aggro & have a price on your head AS MISSIONS

    at that time there were 250k players strong (alot for pre wow)

    the message boards blew up as the first of the prestige players unlocked everyone got the message across the screen 

     now granted he was powerful but everyone on the server could hunt him down.

    certain classes were based round this one too, you got 100k if you killed one.

    as the messageboards lit up with anger & dismay on how powerfull these classes were SONY agreed & began nerfing, when they were thru the JEDI  became crappy &so many people left the game after there attempt to BALANCE OUT & FIX things that swg became a deadzone.

    if capcom decided to nerf & buff characters that are based on formats created years ago just to appease a few fans, it CAN HINDER the game.

    if you want to FIX people like sagat so they deal more damage then um i gotta say it be futile because if they fix him the way you all ask, then they gotta fix someone else, then another, then another

    then you have the bugs that get fixed causing another bug.

    pretty soon you have an imperfect game where either your doing tons of damage or your not dealing enough.

    streetfighter 4 is about as close to persect as capcom could get without killing the game id imagine & if you really want a sagat type that deals zangif damage then why not recomend character customization, with a story mode of your story.

    like if i picked sagat as my base build id start out pretty weak & as i progress thru the story i can get stronger & customize more. users may can use there home grown ver of sagat or ryu or whatever in every mode exept arcade mode. & at the end of your characters story he gets his invite to the world warriors tournies.

    he can idle whoevers basic style you use but if you fight defensivly you will increase your defense, if your offence is your game those attributes go up.

    you gain the points in every mode you play in with him but when you play against human online opponents & computer vs or story modes you gain points & items more rapidly.

    i kno that idea isnt as thought out as it should be but instead of breaking the game with the fixes you guys keep moaning bout, this would be logical & probably alot easier, i mean a few other gamer toyed with these ideas but i dont think they added the whole custome skill level thing

    heck you could even use your bp as your characters cash at the shop or dojo.

    if you really wanted to make fun of aof & snk games have your training be doing the ability your trying to learn 3x or win a match using that ability.

    hmmm they start out as a normal fighter, eventually becoming something that can last in a streetfighter tourney, what a concept lol

    but anyway if it aint broke dont fix it. theres other ways to get round it, like my example there

    capcom would own the rights to the toons you make anyway you could have them be availible for you to use via a memory stick & your victories would save so you can upload them to your 360 of ps3 later & is saved on a network

    oh well thats a rant.
