Until the longest two months of my life, bootcamp. Crap.
As much as I don't want to do this, and as much as I wish I was still leaving in January instead, at least I'll be getting it out of the way and my life will sort of return to normal afterwords (after all, I copped out and got my job changed to something that would allow me to easily focus on school, or so I hope).
Hey, at least doing that scored me a enlistment bonus. I didn't even get one with my initial job I picked. And hey, maybe by the end of it, I wont be so socially retarded (not too sure about mentally retarded though)!
I don't think it will be so bad though. I've read so much about it, and we supposedly only do PT three times a week (which I can do the running, but I'm so out of shape that I can't do the push-ups or sit-ups).
Edit: Not too long after posting this, I was hangin' around the Escapist and saw this thread: link.
Good to see I'm not the only person who's joined up simply for college, as everyone around me at PT seems shocked I'd go into the military for such a reason.
Welp, 30th of October is my new ship date to bootcamp as compensation for having my job changed.
As much as I dread it, at least I'll get it done and out of the way early. Should be done with it by the beginning of January, and then I'll be at A-School in Nowhere, Mississippi for seven weeks for ships and giggles (oh man, what a great pun. GET IT? SHIPS? NAVY? HUH?? HUH!?!?!? Oh....)
It only took three years, but I'm now number one on Google when it comes to Madonna song-named websites!
Edit 9-14-08: And of course, soon after the lovely reopening, I had to go and downgrade my account due to my sheer laziness on getting a job before I leave for bootcamp. HAHAHAHA!
I think my house is haunted. Then again I think everywhere I go is haunted. I don't believe in Heaven but I believe in ghosts. Is that a paradox?
I think the world is ending. Sure, thats speculation from someone who's been doing nothing for a month straight and is a bit looney from the boredom, but I've been quiet and observant. Somethings up with this town, thats for sure. There has been a lot of sirens from passing ambulances and firetrucks at night lately.
I went to Safeway to loiter around and read magazines a few hours ago, riding my bike downa ally because I enjoy dangerous atmospheres when I encountered a police car and a horde of people. I didn't stick around since I'm always prime suspect to any crime scene, but it was interesting enough to draw in paint.net. Look! I drew myself as a Jawa-thing!
I hate Star Wars, but thats for another bored blog entry.
Uhh....yeah. Back to the subject. Somethings defitnitly up with this place. I hope it's the spiral curse.
Lovely update: I got my scanner working again on this new fangled computer. I think my sanity will return now. Looks like I'm going to have to revamp Bee Doo Company tomorrow.
In the mean time, I think I will hoe out the gallery feature here.
