Finally got my hands on Monster Hunter Freedom Unite. This is the first time I played a Monster Hunter game. I was such a big fan of Phantasy Star Online on the Dreamcast. I was hoping this was similar. It seems to be like PSO but much more. The oversize weapons and sense of accomplishment are what I really enjoy about this game. I really love this game as much as I did PSO. I wish the online was made into the game rather than via Kai, that's just so tedious. This game would be even better with infrastructure mode. The funny thing is, the new PSP's have microphones so they could have made this game online with voice. I guess that's just too much to ask for. It's good to know the PSP has such a solid game. If you have other people to play this game with, I would say this is a system seller. Too bad they aren't promoting this game as well as they should. This game is a craze in Japan, but unfortunately doesn't do the same here in the U.S. I hope one day they come out with a Monster Hunter for the 360. With Co-op being so popular nowadays, this would definitely be one of the top co-op games on the 360. It plays like an MMO without the monthly fee. Monster Hunter Rawks! GD360
