Link's Awakening started the whole trade mess. I remembered getting everything on that game including the 20 shells L2-Sword and the Super Boomerang. Stealing from the merchant and getting killed by him. Marin moments when she was following you like going to the trendy machine. The map teleportation glitch that gets you stuck on the walls. I had the old Game Boy version and never played the Game Boy Color version. Yes this was the best Zelda game. I also never played the ages and seasons versions. Where they good?

Personally, I thought this was one of the worst systems I bought. The graphics sucked and cut scenes of quality were non-existent. I could get better graphics on my PS1. There was a grand total of like 10 games give or take 5 that were worth buying in comparison to Sony and Sega's selection. Voice overs were almost non-existent except in a few later games.  The controller was annoying and weird. Overall I was much happier with my Dreamcast. The only thing that kept it alive was the raving Nintendo fan boys. Luckily, for Nintendo, there are more of those than they know what to do with and all they need to do is slap a title on any game(ie. Mario, Zelda, or Pokemon) and it will sell like gold regardless of game quality or story line. As with most Nintendo systems the games were mostly geared towards the younger adolescent generation. While I do admit that they had some great more mature games( Golden Eye, Perfect Dark) the overall content was for children. And yes, I do know I am being a bit harsh on the system. However if you are truly looking for a good Nintendo system I would go with the SNES or the game cube. The game selection of quality for both systems are much higher. As it is the Nintendo 64 has mostly faded quietly into history along with the Virtuaboy and with good reason. Let Nintendo bring out their good games on the WII shop channel and everyone will be happy because then they don't need to deal with the annoying control design and can get them cheaper than what they were at the time. Ok, so I know this is a pile of seething hate but the N64 at least produced some(but very few) games that will be immortalized in good gaming history and if you are a Nintendo fanatic you will have to get it but overall there were and still are much better qualified systems than the N64.

In my opinion the N64 was great with ok games & graphics but the controller design was really stupid, seriously Nintendo well atleast the Gamecude's controller was better.

You know you're arguing with an idiot when they try to argue cartridges have better lifespan than CDs.

I typically hate Zelda games, but I have to admit, I enjoyed LA.

Well excuse me but, CDs are much easier to ruin. If you get junk in the cartridge it is fairly easy to fix. The controller did look stupid and had a few flaws but it did use the layout of the controller well on a handful of games. I will still play the '64 at times so in my opinion it isn't that bad of a console.

And I thought this was a thread based on ones opinion. That is what I meant to say before.

I didn't mind the N64, at all. It had far more flops that stars, but the ones that stood out were very well done. Star Fox 64, Ocarina of Time. And some of my favorites: Ogre Battle 64. Good ol 64... It was just poory acclaimed due to the cartridge based games that were roughly 70 bucks new...

The Ages and Seasons games were very much like Link's Awakening.  A few small things stuck out about the games.  One of them was that the game seemed to target a younger audience.  The other thing was that when you had the big sword, you couldn't use any other items, which was quite dumb.  And lastly, what annoyed me the most was that the awesome charged sword jump technique from Link's Awakening doesn't work in Ages or Oracles.  Your sword just wouldn't connect unless you were touching the ground.

I still remember the summer that I completed all of Ages, Seasons, and Majora's Mask.  It was the summer where my video game/Zelda addiction gave me carpal tunnel.  This then led to me spending about two years with wrist braces on and off.  I should have sued Nintendo and Flagship for damages.

Nintendo 64 was one of the best systems ever made.  One of my favorite games to play was Star Wars.
