Welcome to the new version of the Anime/Manga thread.Cool This thread, like some of the other ones i made up, will pick where the original one left off. Listen up about this one, and don't forget this: You're allowed to discuss any Anime or Manga title you know, but you're not going to fight about it.Sealed As long as you understand this part, then go as crazy as you want.Laughing Let the discussion begin.Cool

Is it just me or is everything ending? =(

Eyeshied 21 ended a bit ago, Majin Tantei Neuro is apparently on its "last case" though that could just be smoke and mirrors and not really the end of the series (but I get the feeling it is).

XXXholic and Tsubasa Chronicle both seem like they're on their last legs, same with Naruto and Bleach (though both feel like they can extend the story for a bit still).

Not sure, but I think the Hajime no Ippo: New Challenger season/series ended as well (and suddenly).  Haven't found any anime this season that interests me yet either =(.

I re-rented the 1st 3 discs of Azumanga Daioh from my library (3 weeks for FREE!!) to re-watch. So awesome.

Also watching Fate/Stay Night & some others. I don't really have money to get manga at the moment (nor do I live near a store that carries them), but I either read them online (if they haven't been translated in the US) or borrow them from my friends (or receive them as a gift from my friend).

They did an amazing job of mangling the plot in the anime adaptation.

wait, what?

I've been enjoying it (at ep. 6 at the moment). I've also been thinking about reading the manga. Is it good, or is it the same as the anime (plot-wise/what happens in the anime)?

I haven't read the manga myself, though I do know that it does not begin at the very start of the story.

F/SN was originally a Japanese visual novel (ie a 'game' that is composed more or less entirely of text). You can grab a translated version of the game's demo which covers the fairly lengthy intro sequence right here. If you end up enjoying that at all, there are translation patches for the full game as well.

The game is composed of three individual routes (depending on decisions made early on), each focusing on different characters, with a very lengthy and unique story. The anime follows a modified version of the Fate route, which is probably my least favorite of the three (the other two being Unlimited Blade Works, and Heaven's Feel).

As far as anime goes, I recommend Haibane Renmei, Twelve Kingdoms, and last - but by no means least - Kara No Kyoukai.

I already know what visual novels/eroges (which, like you said, F/SN was originally) are, but I'm glad you mentioned the manga doesn't start at the beginning. So it takes place some time after the game?

Man, I remember when Cartoon Network had more than just Naruto...I REALLY wish they'd re-air BoBoBo-Bo Bo-BoBo. You either hated the series or liked it, & I found it to be one of my fav. animes.

BABERIFIC!!

hoho! there's a thread on this!!  Well, At the moment....I'm indulging in the classics, which include most of osamu tezuka's works and Mazinger Z, the true OG mech. It seems that all the mainstream Jumps such as Bleach, one piece, Naruto, as well as others, don't interest me as much as the whole 70's period of manga. While only a couple minutes of shoujo is enough I can take...the classics can keep me glued for hours.

As for Anime, I'm keeping up with both FMA: the bortherhood as well as cross game. Both are interesting and fun, while tense and upbeat at the same time. But on the side, I'm also watching some astro boy and Baccano!

I'm average at everything...but will sadly never reach the top at anything. But if anyone is willing to fight....GET SUM!

I started watching Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood. It supposedly follows the manga more than the original series did.
