Great fight. I was pulling for Fedor all the way. If Miller had five more seconds then he would of pulled off the submission.

Too true. Still, you have to give Brett and Mayhem a lot of credit though.Cool For Brett, he made Fedor bleed at the very start of the match-up, in fact he even won the first round. But the middle of round two was a very different story. Truthfully, i really though he was going to win. Mayhem on the other hand did try as well, but Jake Shields was better on the floor, however if he'd tapped out in round three, Mayhem would be the champ right now. Overall, let's at least give them an A for effort.Cool And like i said not long ago, i'll post the full results tomorrow afternoon, so stay tuned.Wink

Brett Rodgers with a lil more experience will be a very dangerous man.  He was just a little bit to slow pulling the trigger on his punches.

Thoughts: Great Card, would buy this if it was a DVD.

In general, I thought the commentators believed more about what they heard and less of what they were seeing. They pretty much annoyed me each fight. Ill explain how, in each part.

Verdum and Silva: Verdum has a great chin. He ate a wide open looping right hook from Silva and was still alive. I didnt catch the decision but I hope Silva won. Was a decent opening fight.

Mousasi and Sokoudjou: The announcers tasted too much kool aid on this. Musashi is a beast, but Sokoudjou was holding his own. I was surprised at how fast both guys were. All they kept talking about was Musashi. I definitely know what people mean by in 2-3 yrs Musashi will be king. He only 24! Didn't know that. Reminds me of Rua back in Pride.

Miller and Shields: Miller's entrance was epic haha. I think Miller may be the more experienced and maybe even better fighter, but Shields completely deserved that win. The commentators once again only noticing the faults in Shields. Shields was a sweaty guy out there, but he didn't stop. His cardio was great for this fight. Yet all the commentators could say is "Oh look he's slowing down." Shields had the perfect gameplan for this and completely deserved the win. Must have been frustrating for Miller. I dont think Shields has heavy power in his hands so he did what he could against the veteran.

Fedor and Brett Rogers: Whew! I also was annoyed by with the commentators here, since no one mentioned that Fedor's nose is always busted. Even between fights, in the promo shots, there's his nose looking bruised. In Brett's defense, think about this...... Brett had the size and ability to really knock Fedor out. On a different day, Rogers may actually have actually KO'd Fedor. Imagine what we'd being saying about that. 40lbs extra is pretty beast and it showed when Fedor couldn't stick to all his regular strategies. I would not be surprised if in a rematch, Rogers won. Imagine if Brett knocked Fedor out. There was nothing in my mind that said "Oh yeah Fedor's got this!" Rogers has the tools, just needs more experience. He definitely wasnt "overconfident" like most people would like to say. He really does have the potential to KO Fedor.

And if I was Arlovski, I wouldnt show up there. Its like "Oh yeah, its those two guys who killed me last time. Sweet!"

Just left a comment on your blog!

Fedor has 2 more fights in Strikeforce. I hope he does fight Overeem. Supposedly he's the best in Strikeforce for him. And I hope to God we see Fedor vs Lesnar before we die. Fedor even said he'd like to fight him.

I've just checked it out, thanks for sending it.Wink And i agree, Alistair has to defend his belt now. I also agree that Fedor vs. Brock should happen before we die. I just want to see Brock get KO'ed. :D

I respect Lesnar's ability, but I do want Fedor to put him away finally. I really wanted to see the carwin Lesnar fight, but Lesnar said he had some long term illness and its postponed.

And I was watching TUF, I always recall it being so entertaining (especially the hype promos they do.) But I havent caught the last 2-3 episodes this season. I was really hyped for this season too.
