It's a nice gesture considering how barren the PS1 lineup on PSN outside of Japan is, but it's hardly an exciting surprise when we knew about the ESRB rating a loooong time ago, as someone else mentioned. I guess it could be exciting for those of us who didn't grab SFA Anthology when it hit, but for the rest of us? Probably will be too busy with Bionic Commando to notice! Not that that's a bad thing! But this is certainly not what I hoped it would be. I have to imagine anyone who still has nasty feelings about Capcom happenings on PS3 is still gonna be harboring them. But I'd like to take this opportunity to say that John Diamonon is the man for what he's been doing over at the PS blog! What a guy. For serious.



And for those of you sad that it's not SFA3, I'm sad that it's not A2, so there. :)

This is lame. I mean I appreciate the effort but come on. I know developers are always wondering why gamers on the internet are forever whining but its because devs never get it right.



Why release this? There are three Alpha games. Why release the worst one with no online? This will not sell well. Capcom should release Alpha 2 or Alpha 3 with online for $10-15.

Definitely need more than this to make up for the lack of a beta for SSF2THDR.



And I sincerely doubt this will have any online or multiplayer support on PSP, so it kinda makes me wonder "why bother"? It should be painfully easy to get a CPS2 emulator up and going and port this as a native PS3 PSN game rather than a PSOne classic, and I'd think you'd be able to add lobby/networking at the same time (basically Mortal Kombat II; arcade emulation with tacked on network support).



Here's a question: is there anything legally stopping you guys from releasing your older NES and SNES titles as downloadable PS3 titles? I know Nintendo was big time on exclusivity contracts, but I'd much rather have classic titles on my PS3/PSP than on my Wii (Virtual Console). Probably something I should be asking Sven if he hasn't been asked this already.

First and foremost I'd like to thank Capcom for the effort. Even though the first of the SFA series is not the most loved by far; having it on the PSN store is, undeniably, better then nothing. At least Capcom has the PSN community within eye sight.



However, I do wish that SFA3 or may perhaps SF3 would of made it instead.

SFIII Third Strike with online options will be better appreciated then this. Ya just keep shafting PS3 owners, on the real's. First, no MH3, Second, Lost Planet BS version. with a 5gig install on top(Naughty Dog show this fools how to code)No Beta and No dead rising.



I Don't mind seeing Alpha one on the PSN, but this shouldn't be touted as a "Surprise" mate. If it was was Marvel Vs Capcom 2 with online or SFIII, that would of been a "Surprise" Not the worst version of Alpha, lol.
