To help you bide the time as the Tokyo Game Show (TGS) approaches, we’ve released another 2 character teaser trailers! If you haven’t seen them yet be sure to check them out on the official site!
Here at Capcom, we’re scrambling to get everything ready as the clock counts down to show time!
TGS is still a few days away, but I’d like to give you a quick run-down on what to expect from the Capcom booth this year!
SFxT TGS Booth
Japanese fight fans have waited long enough, and now finally you’ll have a chance to get your hands on a playable demo of the game! This will be the first time the game has been made available to Japanese players. Within the booth we’ll have 16 PS3 and Xbox 360 machines set up, with 2 players being able to play per machine. Within the time limit you will be able to fight as much as you like, so be sure to bring your friends to get in on the action!
Everyone who comes up to play will receive a special towel as a present. Ryu and Kazuya are the featured characters on these towels, but take a closer look for an extra bit of detail!
As the theme of our booth this year is that of a Japanese festival, be sure to check out the giant lantern we’ll have at the center of the booth!
The booth is going to look incredible from the outside, but the inside will also pack quite a punch! Within the SFxT booth we’re going to have a stage set up where we’ll hold mini-events throughout the day! The main event will be the “SFxT Corner”, held by yours truly. We’re also going to have events for “SFIV Volt” on the iPhone, and “GODSGARDEN x Game Time in Capcom Street Fighter X Tekken Booth”.
And just what is this “GODSGARDEN x Game Time” event I just mentioned?
Taking place on 9/17 (Sat) from 3 to 4PM, Kayo Sato (Kayo Police), Furiida, and KSK will get some hands-on time with the game.
Kayo Sato
Furiida
KSK
We might even get some character breakdowns from them. The event will be streamed live over Nico Nico Douga, so tune in and add your comments to the fun!
Meanwhile, at the main Capcom Booth, the “Street Fighter X Tekken SAIKYO X KOBUSI” stage will be held at the following times...
9/15 (Thu) 1:30~2:00PM
9/18 (Sun) 1:00~2:30PM
On the main stage Lil’ Ono and Harada from Namco Bandai among others will be making appearances.
As the 15th is an industry-only day, our regular fight fans won’t be able to attend. But on the 18th, not only will can everyone join in on the fun, but the Nippon TV program “Yoasobi San Shimai” will be filming a segment as well!
Show regular Tetsuya Ikeda will be appearing.
Will he unleash his “Full Power” stream of insults to anyone on stage? Tune in to find out!
SSFIV AE and SSFIIT Tournaments at Super Battle Opera!
On 9/17, top players will be clashing at the premier Japanese fighting game tournament, Super Battle Opera! This year SBO will be held during TGS, same as last year!
The Capcom fighting games SSFIV AE and SSFII Turbo are featured among the lineup this year. If I were you, I’d be sure to keep my eyes glued to the screen until the grand champions are decided! ...We just might be making an announcement after the dust has settled...
Ayano Cup 2nd in Kanto
Serving as the pre-game show to SBO, we’re going to have another SSFIV AE tournament! It’s a 5 on 5, same-character teams permitted. The tournament will be held on 9/16, with registration held in advance, so if you want to participate please be sure to get your entry in by 9/10. Even though the event is called “Ayano Cup 2nd in Kanto”, this is not an officially Capcom sponsored event. However, we will be giving out some special titles.

Capcom Calendar 2012 on sale at the e-Capcom Shop at TGS!
The e-Capcom Shop will also be making a presence at TGS, with various Capcom goods on sale. There will be a special limited edition of the “Capcom Heroes Calendar” and the “Capcom Girls Calendar” available.
I’ve featured covers from Kinu Nishimura and BENGUS (Gouda Cheese) before here, and this time as well we’ve got some great illustrations featuring Street Fighter characters!
First up is the “Girls Calendar” from toi8, well known for his works for the basic character designs for the TV anime “No. 6”, as well as “Archenemy and Hero” and many other light novels.
This illustration features the beautiful young fighting girls Elena, Karin, and Capcom Fighting Evolution’s Ingrid. Looks like its tea time!
A lot of people in the comments have been asking for these ladies to be in SFxT... and now here they are. Appearing on the blog for SFxT. So before the rumors start flying around, let me give them a call to get the news straight from the ladies themselves...
...Hmm... What?! Someone’s blocking my calls! But why?!
Next up we have the “Capcom Heroes” calendar, coming from Capcom Designer Tamio, who worked on Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 and Ace Attorney Investigations 2.
Oh man, that is just way too cool!
Dudley is all decked out and enjoying his tea. And check out Gill just kickin’ it at the front! What a great way to end the year by having these cool dudes showcase November and December.
...What? Put all these guys in SFxT? Well, I guess I saw that coming...
Okay, okay. Well, I’ll try contacting one of them. Maybe email is better? Who should I email... can Gill even hold a phone without burning or freezing it? Sigma... nah, probably too many virus filters. I think I’ll try a certain heroic teacher...
Email: Hi there! I know you must have your hands full keeping things running smoothly at your school, but over here we have a ninja high school girl running wild! Is there anyone you could send over to help?
Hmm... what?! My mail is blocked too?!
Ahem. Well anyway, these calendars go on sale 9/15, and pre-orders are filling in fast! All orders made through e-Capcom are special limited editions with a different colored logo.
Once supplies run out that’s it, no more, they’re all gone. So if you want one don’t delay in putting in your order!

Publication of “CapBon”, a thick serial magazine featuring game information, comics, and all things Capcom will start Sept 20th! Weighing in at 200 pages, this magazine is no joke! It’ll feature the latest in news updates about Capcom’s newest titles. This is primarily a manga anthology that’s being published by Capcom. But we’re going to be dropping game info in it as well, and of course that will include updates on SFxT!
Now, if only we could get some kind of SFxT comic going...

Wow. We’re still a week away from TGS, but this update was bursting from the seams with news updates!
Next week I’ll be updating directly from TGS. I hope to see you all there!
