Week 5, meaning here's my next entry into the MM10 Fan Art Contest, here's a look at Nitro Man!
Hope you enjoy it, no video this time around. He was a bit harder to make then Pump Man but I manage to pull it off the best I can. Remember, if you like this sculp, show your support and remember to vote for "Hardcore Hecxz" this weekend in the fan art polls. Also I welcome questions or feedback!
Week 3 of the Robot Master Fan Art Contest on Capcom-Unity.com, this week Robot Master was "Strike Man" so after working on and off since Monday, I'm happy to say my contest entry is ready, Gentlemen and Ladies I present to you my Strike Man Art!
(if you have a problem viewing through YouTube, I have also uploaded the video here on Capcom-Unity.com (link below)
Hope you enjoyed the "Making of" Strike Man Fan Art :) figured I've go with the classy montage!
Here's a few pics...
Strike Man was bit of a challenge, but I went ahead with another Clay Sculpture which he turned out good, but strangely was a bigger challenge then my Sheep Man Sculpture. Anyways, I hope you guys enjoyed checking him out.
Don't forget, if you liked what you saw, feel free to vote for me right here on Capcom-Unity.com this Friday afternoon up until Monday Morning (Feb 5-8, 2010). Remember to vote "Hardcore Hecxz". Thanks for reading, till next update. Peace!
"Citing "steady sales supported by their established brand names", Operate Shooting Star, Monster Hunter Freedom Unite, Monster Hunter Tri~, Ace Attorney investigations: Miles Edgeworth, and Resident Evil 5 boosted the company's sales up 5.9% to 49.99 billion yen ($551 million). Net income saw an impressive jump at 865.9% to 1.73 billion yen ($19 million).
It's been a bad year for video game companies. Big losses, big layoffs. But one company, Capcom, appears to have sailed right on through, announcing today that over the past nine months things are looking just fine.
Compared to the same period last year, net sales at the Japanese publisher were up 5.9%, operating income up 84.3%, ordinary income up 127.5% and net profit up an impressive 865.9% to USD$19.1 million.
Games to thank for the upswing were Mega Man on the DS, Ace Attorney: Miles Edgeworth on the DS, Monster Hunter Tri on the Wii, Monster Hunter on PSP and Resident Evil 5.
Games not getting a thank you include Resident Evil: Darkside Chronicles and Okami on the Wii, both of which Capcom say "saw slow sales".
-----------------------------
So hear that Capcom! Megaman Battle Network: Operation Shooting Star OUTDID Resident Evil: Darkside Chronicles and the Wii Version of Okami!!!
If anything, that's reason enough to bring it Stateside! For a game that seemed like it was going to fail because of poor sales early on, rocked one of Capcom's other major gaming series. Will we see it come to the states, if anything I hope these numbers prove otherwise.
Here it is, it's almost time for all entries to be in and here's my entry for the "Sheep Man MM10 Fan Art Contest". This time, I didn't go for a drawing but for something else...here's the video!
Hope you like the Sculpture, and Yes I noticed I mispelled "Sculpture" at the end LOL, if you like it, please vote for it this weekend on Capcom-Unity.com, Thanks!
Tomorrow Morning I'm challenged by several artists and talented people in this Mega Man 10 fan art contest. I've seen a few of what members have entered and I'm amazed. Some hand drawn others done on computers.
When this contest was announced, I was excited. I actually dug out my old art book from High School and though of a idea. Granted this would be my actual first time drawing a picture since I was at Ohayocon in Ohio back in January of 2007.
Glad I still had it in me. The picture actually took about 5-6 hours to do sitting in my living room as my wife, Jennifer played Bayonetta on the 360. (shocking me that she enjoys it, as she been hooked to Left 4 Dead all this time and has a jealously issue with women :P) Never the less, I finished it and came across a idea with Commando Man in his boss room as pictured in the game screens as Mega Man readies up in the shadows as the door finally opens getting set for battle.
The picture was hand drawn with Pencil and colored with a mix of Prismacolor Pencils and Markers. Unfortanely my scanner now is uncompatable with Windows Vista since LexMark never made a update driver for it. So I took a digital camera, took the best shot possible and uploaded it on the computer and cropped and messed with the brightness/contrast using Paint Shop Pro.
Anyways, here's my entry. Win or lose, i'm glad Capcom did something for me. Made me take back up drawing again.....and I've missed it so much. Thank you guys!
Voting starts tomorrow! Hope to get your vote, and add some art books to my extensive Megaman Collection!
