I really would like to know the sales data on MM9 (for all three consoles combined).
My hope is that Mega Man 9 does phenomenally well and, that fiscal return, attracts the attention of some other publishers.
How I crave a new 2D Metroid, Contra (especially after 4), Super Mario (a console release), etc.
Another hope is that with MM9's huge success (hopefully), Capcom will begin to churn out more of the good ol' blue bomber. Mega Man 10 would be a first day buy for me (staying up all night waiting for it to hit the VC, as I did for 9).
Don't get me wrong, 3D is great but, man, do I miss my beloved 2D gaming.
i think that Capcom said that they sold 141,000 copies. that would be a monumental success for a download-able game.
Mattif anything will convince other companies to make a new "retro" game, numbers like this will.
