Iron Man + Mega Man = Time to weld my own arm canon.

    Thursday, October 2, 2008, 11:46 PM [General]

That pretty much sums it up right there in the title. Watching Iron Man and playing Mega Man inspired me: My own mega buster canon made from plastic, acrylic, or aluminum (whatever is easier for my maiden attempt). It's gonna happen and I'll make sure to post some pics.

...just a thought: Maybe I'll have it shoot rice krispie squares. Just for kicks...and...you know...Halloween.

    Infatuated with Mega Man...everything.

Mega Man 9 opened the floodgates.

I stopped playing anything Mega Man (except X) for a while just because, frankly, the older I got, the worse I was at them. It was bad.

I remember buying Mega Man collection, for the Gamecube, and getting my arse handed to me by every boss (and their level) in the game. Fond memories had me kicking the crap out of 'em all but now, years later, I was the one getting schooled. It was maddening, to say the least.

    Flash forward to the present.

I buy Mega Man 9, with giddy excitement, and start it up. Ten seconds later, my gaming ego lay in ruins and my pride in waste. Mega Man 9 owned me. PWNED even.

Then it happened: I got back on the horse and continued playing. An odd zen-like calm filled me as I started to study the levels and find ways to overcome their obstacles.

A few moments later, I'm wiping the floor with the third boss to fall victim to my mighty mega-buster "skeelz" and, boy, did it feel good.

That's when the Mega crack effect took over and I found myself yearning to play all the retro Mega Man's of yore...a task which I am, now, currently undertaking.

I even went so far as to go out and purchase Mega Man Powered Up, a game who's demo (from Mega Man X Hunter) I absolutely HATED because of the same difficulty reason, and am really loving it.

What's the point of this blog?

Simple: We need Mega Man to mega bust Dr. Wily to stop all the evil robots who are draining the Dow's points every day and, thus, driving down the US economy.

All along, it was all Wily's fault. Mega Man for president in '08!

Roll can be his Vice pres.

    Zak and Wiki

Man is it unfortunate that the game didn't get as much retail sales as it should have. Some people may think it wasn't all that (and everyone certainly has their own opinions) but I really enjoyed it. Brings me back to the old point and click adventures of yesterday. If only a demo, of sorts, was brought onto the Wii's Nintendo Channel to let people just have a taste and experience the game. Eh, really that could be said for anything on the Wii VC or otherwise). Nintendo really needs to start shaping up and getting demos out on the Wii. Some games you just want to try before dropping down some hard to come by bucks.
