It is safe to say Capcom has come out swinging. If every other video company out there is firing machine guns, I'd say Capcom is launching nuclear warheads. Seriously, MM9, SF4, LP2, DR2? Bold projects (particularly the first two) in an AWFUL economy. Few entities are taking such steps.
Something that I have recently noticed: are we fans getting a bit too greedy? I recall the days MM9 got released...here are some of the questions that were asked on RELEASE DAY:
"Can we get a PU2?:
"Can we get a MM10?"
"When is MM10 happening?"
"Is feature XYZ possible for the game?"
As for SFIV, here are a couple of items I saw:
"Why isn't character XYZ in there?"
"Where are the extra costumes?"
"What about SFV?"
Now I scroll through the "ASK CAPCOM" forum and look at all the stuff for LP2.
Seriously...whatever happened to enjoying dinner before you start thinking about breakfast? Love what you have, and enjoy it. Then once we've worn it out, THEN we can start griping about what we want for dessert.
I'm not saying us fans should stop making requests or providing feedback (why do you think Unity was created in the first place?), but I think it would be wise for us to start showing a little restraint every once in a while. Don't be greedy!
