Harmonics International is involved in organizing a 5th Anniversary Monster Hunter Concert and Music Festival, which will take place May 6 in Tokyo. 

The music of Monster Hunter is by a variety of composers, including  Tetsuya Shibata, Yuko Komiyama, Akihiko Narita, Shinya Okada and Hajime Hyakkoku.  However, the music of Masato Kohda tends to be forefrounded, such as on trailers like this one:

Monster Hunter is a perfect videogame for live orchestral concerts.  Last year a concert in Tokyo at the Bunkamura Orchard Hall took place, called Press Start Symphony of Games, and included a performance of Kohda's Monster Hunter theme, which I wrote about for a Siliconera article. 

The 5th Anniversary Monster Hunter concert will take place at the Tokyo Metropolitan Art Space, and vocalist Ikuko Noguchi will be attending as a special guest.  It's looking like there will be a chance for me to post coverage of the event in May.
