Capcom Japan has announced a brand new RPG tailor made for the PSP with some amazing talent to back it up. The game is called Last Ranker and takes place in a world where almost everyone is a soldier. As Zig, the main character, your goal is to rise to the top of the ranks in an organization where everyone is ranked based on their battle readiness.

As if that weren't interesting enough, the people behind the game are amazing talents: Matsukawa Minae (Phoenix Wright, pictured right) as producer, Niinou Kazuya (Seventh Dragon) as director, Nojima Kazushige (Final Fantasy VII, Kingdom Hearts) as scenario writer, Shimomura Yoko (Street Fighter II, Kingdom Hearts) as composer, and Yoshikawa Tatsuya (Breath of Fire, Devil May Cry 4) as character designer.

Unfortunately, there is no word yet on plans for bringing the game outside of Japan.
