Ippo Yamada On Chip Tuned Rockman + A Review From 1up

Oct 01, 2009 // jgonzo

During TGS, Mega Man composer Ippo Yamada was interviewed about the latest project from Inti Creates, the Chip Tuned Rockman album. Sadly, no one from the Unity Away team was able to pick up an advanced copy at TGS, but the album will be widely released in Japan on October 15th! I’m really looking forward to this, as it has a ton of really cool artists on the project.

[UPDATE] CurlehMustache has also pointed us to this review by 1UP’s Jeremy Parish in which he says:

Unlike most remix albums, Chiptuned Rockman is the furthest thing from a cheap, trite cash-in. On the contrary, it’s nothing short of excellent.

He goes on to talk the wide range of styles and song selection:

This is clearly a labor of love and affection, as the remixers touch on the breadth of the series, including the relatively obscure Mega Man V for Game Boy, and even dish up a remix of the Megawater S theme from The Wily Wars.

Sounds like it’s something every Mega Man fan can look forward to getting!

Thanks Wicked !
