Remember that amazing Mega Man 10 triptych that we used as the Mega Man 10 box art and key art? Artist Gerald de Jesus (from iam8bit) helped us update it, now that Bass has been revealed and made available as DLC. Why should Mega Man and Proto Man have all the fun?

Gerald De Jesus On inspiration for the "Mega Man 10" key art concepts:

"When I think about the greatest team-ups of our time, such as 'Butch Cassidy and The Sundance Kid,' 'Tango & Cash' and 'Frodo & Samwise.' I wanted to bring that level of camaraderie and kinship to the 'Mega Man 10' poster. Who would be there if Mega Man took one too many Thunder Wool hits and he needed a helping arm cannon? Proto Man would be the type of guy to help Mega Man out of a tight spot, and I wanted that to come across in this poster."

On what defines 80's kitsch:

"Biceps. Lot's of biceps. Robots with grabby claws. Dragons are a must. A scantily-clad princess grabbing on to the hero's thigh was box office gold. And of course anything that looked remotely post-apocalyptic. This made up 96% of all Sci-Fi / Horror / Fantasy movies in the 1980's, and I wanted to return to that triumphant era of movie posters. "Mega Man 10" is one of the most epic videogames of all time and I hope that my pitiful little painting was able to capture just a smidgen of its greatness."

On Adding Bass:

"Bass is the snotty kid that wishes he was in Mega Man and Proto's spotlight. It's probably why people have to pay to play him in the game. ;) I'm pretty sure when Mega and Proto are hanging out, saying to each other, 'Hey Man, let's team up and send Dr. Wily back to Robo-Alcatraz!' Then Bass comes along and says, 'Hey guys, wait for me! Come on, I want to play, too!' Yeah, he's THAT guy. He would probably stab both Mega and Proto in the back anyways since he was built by Dr. Wily. I don't trust him."
