Udon's Joe Ng did the amazing promotional artwork that you see above for Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 and we also got him to answer some questions for us in the Q&A that you'll find after the break!

1) First of all, can you please give us a little background as to what you do outside of MVC3 art?

Sure, I worked on the Street Fighter IV mini series as well as the ending art for the Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD game and a few of the endings for the Tatsunoko vs. Capcom game. My next project, which I'm super excited about, is an upcoming Street Fighter Legends book showcasing a fan favorite character that i can't quite say yet. :)

2) How did Capcom approach you to do this MVC3 art? How did you feel?

When I first heard that they were going to do a Marvel vs. Capcom 3, I wasn't surprised that UDON would be involved in it somehow. When I was asked to provide pin up for this game, I was pretty stoked. I'm already a huge Capcom fan and I loved reading Marvel comics growing up so this was like a dream project come true! I hope there will be more chances for me to contribute to this project!

3) Who is your favorite character from each side?

On the Capcom side, I'd have to say Ryu since he's the main man of Street Fighter and probably the only character I can play and not get completely owned in the game. On the Marvel side it's Deadpool for his crazy antics and the fact that he's the only character that knows he's in a comic.

4) Who is the most difficult for you to draw and why?

I'm not sure if I'd call him difficult, but Iron Man takes a little longer to draw than the others just because of all the armour pieces need to be drawn right or else it will just look too rubbery.

5) Have you gotten a chance to play MVC3 yet? What’d you think?

To be honest I haven't played it yet! I've seen a bunch of screen shots and videos of it though and it looks pretty crazy. I can't wait to try it out myself.

6) Are there any characters that you wish to see from either the Capcom or Marvel side that you haven’t seen yet?

My favourite Capcom character of all time is Alex from Street Fighter III so it would be pretty awesome to see him get the 3D looking treatment. As for the Marvel side, it would be cool to see the UDON designed Taskmaster show up!

7) Which 3 Marvel or Capcom characters would be select for your dream team?

That's a good question... Probably Ryu, Hulk, and Morrigan. That would be an interesting team visually I think. Of course i have no idea how they would work together in game though :)

8) Were you a Marvel or Capcom fan before this? What are your favorite characters, games, or franchises?

Oh definitely! I used to love reading X-Men and Spider-man when I was a kid growing up and even had a bunch of their toys. I'm obviously a big Capcom fan as well. Street Fighter III is my favourite series. I love the designs of each of the characters. They're all so bold and different.

9) Which three Marvel characters would you like to talk to in real life? Which three Capcom characters?

I think a conversation between the Hulk, Wolverine, Deadpool, Viewtiful Joe, Dante, and Felicia would be pretty entertaining. I'd sit and just listen to what they have to say!

10) Which three powers would you like to have?

Probably flying, super speed, and super strength. Yes, I would want to be Superman...

11) Have you seen Neil Edwards’/Joe Ng’s art? What do you think?

It's got a lot of energy to it! It's pretty cool to see other artists renditions of characters, especially the Capcom ones since they're already so stylized. Neil's work on Fantastic Four is pretty awesome as well.

12) Finally, who would win in an MVC3 match? Edwards or Ng?

I'd bring my A game for sure and talk the talk if we were ever in a situation where we had to play each other in MVC3, but then I'd realize that I'm terrible at fighting games and probably lose in the end.
