From the Fighting Games Panel at Comicon, I was repping MvC2:
- If you die, you will respawn at the last solid ground you stood on, or the last checkpoint.
- Say it with me now….”Unlimited Lives”
- If you hook to a point and you realize that your line is too short to get you where you need to go, you can hit a button and reel your line out.
- If you swing into a wall while still hooked, you will no longer bounce off of the wall, disconnect, and hopelessly fall do your spikey death. Instead, you will bounce off of the wall, stay connected, and reel in.
Ok, I've made it into Famitsu. My day has been made
It's time to get hype folks!!! Marvel vs Capcom 2 is getting ready to release on XBL tomorrow!!!
I know I'm excited for the XBL release tomorrow and the PSN release in 2 weeks. Just got back from Comicon and the hype was definitly up on this. Even though I used my horrible commentating skills on one of the tournaments (I'm no s-kill), the crowd still was able to power through it and cause a ruckus. Oh and congratulations to Kevin for winning at least two of the MvC2 tournaments to recieve 2 MvC2 mixtape vinyls. To get ready for the release, hit the jump for a few of my favorite past MvC2 matches:
One of the best comebacks ever with Justin Wong doing the job with just Cyclops:
I've said it before, Strider is my favorite Capcom character ever and Clockwork's Strider is godlike. Strider's airthrow into Doom's rock's?! Oh yeah!
SooMighty is just toying with Justin by the end of the match
There's a ton more, but I have a lot of work to catch up on while I was out for Comicon. Let me know what you think is hot. It's on tomorrow guys!!!
Capcom representing at the Screwattack Game Convention
Big props to the ScrewAttack crew for hosting an awesome event and having me out there to speak on a panel about SF HD Remix with the guys from OCRemix. The event was great, with speakers like the famous Nolan Bushnel (creator of Pong and founder of Atari), events like Iron Man of Gaming, and even a tense debate with the notorious Jack Tompson
The panel I spoke in was very relaxed and it was a great casual way to engage some of our great fans. You can barely see, but I'm sitting on the panel between Larry Oji (Liontamer) and David Lloyd (djpretzel) of OCRemix fame.
After about an hour of talking and taking questions, we moved on to the game floor where we gave the attendees an opportunity to win some stuff from the boxes of swag I brought to the show.
The pic above is of me playing (and losing) to Larry, but we spent a good couple of hours playing HD Remix against the fans. If they lost, we still gave them RE5 snow globes, OCRemix stickers, or mini Chun Li figures. If they won, they got to take their pick from the winners box, which consisted of a plethora of items such at Bionic Commando lunch boxes, shirts, a poster sign by the cast of the "Legend of Chun Li", figures, and mcuh more.
I don't have any pics of it, but there was also a mini HD Remix tourney and I made sure the winner got a metal Shadaloo pin and an SF4 wall scroll.
All in all, it was a great time and I want to thank again the Screwattack guys for throwing a great show and for the fans for coming to check it out. And thanks to Dallas for 100+ degree heat, Shiner Bock, Whataburger, and poorly marked freeway on ramps.
PS- I did want to mention that the SF gods must've laid their sweet blessing on the OCRemix guys and me because during the "play to win swag" event, we could not be defeated. I wasn't able to give anything away from the winners box until I switched to random characters. Just had to toot my own horn there =P
The real Red Cyclone found, and he's sporting some mullet.
I love gifs, they're little bit size movies that only show you the good parts. I don't know how old this is, all I know is that it's the greatest thing I've seen all day featuring a guy in green underwear emulating Zangieif's moves.
That's right guys, that's a spinning lariat into a super final atomic buster. I've always wanted to do a spinning lariat in real life, but I've never found the right situation, but an final atomic buster? I don't have the gumption for that. Every time I watch this and keep on saying to myself "Final....Atomic...BUSTAAAA!"

Trophies coming to Bionic Commando Rearmed plus 100% less broken controllers.
That’s right guys, after all the rumors and maybes, the folks here at Capcom
Not content to just add Trophies, we decided to take the opportunity to tweak the game a little bit to make it a bit more accessible. Which is great for me because I have a hole in the wall and a controller held together with duct tape and tears and I can’t afford a new one.
In an update for the PSN and XBLA versions, we’ve reworked Easy and
For all difficulties, we also fixed a small bug with the Super Joe Machine Gun. When upgraded, it will not only have a larger clip, but also deal more damage.
So you see guys, this is just another case of where our fans ask for it on Unity and we provide. Hope you guys like the changes.
