MvC2 Arrives on PSN Today! (and a small contest)

Thursday, August 13, 2009, 04:44 PM CST [General]

UPDATE:  Here are your winners!  Daniella, Jei, Parker, Tim and ytwojay!  Congrats.  PM me your name and address (in the Continental US that is)

It's my pleasure to announce that MvC2 finally arrives on the PSN today.  Check your PS3 around 3:00pm PST (this is an estimated time BTW) and you'll be able to see what all the fuss is about.

The MvC2 Soundtrack will be available next week on PSN.  That means you can get that freakin "I'm gonna take you for a ride" loop out of your head while you abuse unsuspecting n00bs with your Sentintel/Magneto/Storm scrub team.

You know about the vinyls that we pressed for Comic Con don't you?  The ones that are being sold on eBay for over $200?  Well there's going to be an auction for one of those super limited wax sometime today, so stay tuned.

Also, I'd like to try something new here that I ususally do over at the PS Blog (plus, they can't handle me there anymore).  Everyone who appears on comment page 200 gets a free vinyl.  You must live in the Continental US and you cannot have consecutive posts.

    Happy Spamming!

You may be one of the lucky ones who is caught on tape bobbin' your head and waving your hands in the air.  Wear a Capcom themed shirt and I'll have a shot or two with ya!

Tickets are $18 and you can buy them online here or at the venue.  Come early because this will sell out quickly!  See you then!

    Street Flocker Foe!

Monday, April 6, 2009, 01:28 AM CST [General]

Just when you thought FLOCK couldn't get awesomer, we go and do this:

Yup, that's right. FLOCK now comes with 100% more Blanka!  Sure, he rolls around, squishing livestock in his path, and sometimes, well, he just sits there.  Sure, we're riding this Steet Fighter train 'til it stops. But, you gotta admit, it's still flockin' cool.  First person to post here and explain how to unlock him gets a free FLOCK code to give to a friend. (Don't complain PSN fans, I'll have another contest on your blog this week)

You can finally buy the game on PC tomorrow April 7, on XBLA this Wednesday, April 8, and on PSN this Thursday, April 9.  Make sure to go FLOCK yourself......or with a friend in co-op mode. Special shout out to Marcos who created the video.

Now you can own a piece of Street Fighter history!

During the launch event in LA, we held an exhibit, the "Art of Street Fighter", to celebrate this important aspect of the Street Fighter culture.  Custom arcade cabinets were designed and displayed by various artists, ranging from graffiti artists, to comic book illustrators to clothing designers.  The cabinets will be up for auction tomorrow, February 24, 2009 through March 6, 2009.  This auction is organized by Music for Relief, a charity founded by members of Linkin Park.  100% of proceeds from this Street Fighter IV auction will benefit Music for Relief's aid to victims of the catastrophic bushfires in Victoria, Australia.

For more information regarding the charity and if you'd like to bid on these one-of-a-kind arcade cabinets, please visit www.ebay.com/musicforreli...
