I'm new to street fighter 4 and using Guile as my main character. Since I've been spending a lot of time now (and money too!) in arcade centres here in Sydney, I noticed that a character can cancel their specials to super.
I envy those people who do that with ken, ryu, sagat, balrog, etc... But, since I'm a Guile player, and only few players use it here, I really can't get help from them. Upon searching the net for answers, I found out that it was possible for guile to cancel his sonic boom and flash kick to super.
The notation is pretty much the same as in Street Fighter EX series.
Here it is:
Sonic Boom to Super (Double Summersault)
charge db, f+P, db, uf+K
TIP: make sure to do the move as fast as possible. You may also practice this move in Street Fighter EX game.
Flash Kick to Super (Double Summersault)
charge db, uf+K, db, uf+K
TIP: make sure to do the move as fast as possible. To increase your chances too, do the db, uf+K move three or more times. According to a post by Gilley, it can be done just like balrog's super cancel but tilted 45 degrees. Use HK (Roundhouse) as the kick since it leaves the ground longer (I read this in one of the comments in another forum. You may also practice this move in Street Fighter EX game.
It is also mentioned by CFAY in another forum that Special to ULTRA (like sonic boom to ULTRA) is impossible to execute.
According to Gilley, and as show in his video, Sonic boom to Super to ULTRA is possible. However, Flash Kick to Super to ULTRA *works* but does NOT connect.
I hope these simple tips will help me (or you) to add more variety and options in my (your) game.
