With all the Street Fighter IV talk we need to take a break and focus some thoughts on Final Fight characters.

My focus for now is the original Final Fight hero Cody Travers. Raised on the mean streets of Metro City he really likes fighting and beating up the bad guys, though he would also not back down from any challenge either. Cody was also the boyfriend of the Mayor's(Ex-Mayor) daughter Jessica. As time passed Jessica was kidnapped by the Mad Gear gang one of the most powerful gangs in Metro City. Mike Hagar called Cody for help as Guy one of Cody's best friend and rival aids them in there fight against the mad gear gang. Cody went from the "Slums", "Bay Area" and "Up Town" skycrapper building just to find her being held by Adolus Belger. In a despirate battle with Adolus Belger Cody gave him an uppercut that sent him out the window plumetting to his death. Jessica reunites with her father Mayor Mike Hagar, Cody and Guy leave.  Jessica eventually catches up to them and calls out to Cody, but he doesn't turn to face her. Guy, seeing this, leaps in front of Cody and beats him up so he won't leave Jessica(what a friend! lol)
so she can catch up to them, then Jessica asks why he's leaving.  Cody tells her that he wishes he could stay with her, but he can't, as long as evil stalks the streets this is not his final fight and Jessica kisses him. Thus marking Cody the Hero of Metro City.

Time has passed on and as Guy left for Japan for training and the Mayor returns to the squared circle to fight again, Cody was left out without direction of Hagar and his friend bored and unsatisfied with his peaceful life. He said goodbye to Jessica(probably broke up with her) and returned to the streets, determined to kick the behinds of any surviving members of Mad Gear or trouble makers. His intentions were noble at first, but Cody’s hot headed nature led him back to his street fighting roots as a brawler, the results of which quickly landed him in jail. As seen in the picture there probably he got arrested.

He breaks out of jail, though it is unknown if Guy or Hagar helped him out with his escape. Now a fugitive on the run, Cody wanders the streets in search for the man he once was a hero, but he came to terms that he is not a hero, which he realized he likes fighting alot. Happy go lucky and will kick butt anytime he fights on the streets as the former hero turned escaped con.

Few years have passed. Cody again winded up in jail for a crime he didn't commit, which was utterly and ironically commited by his friend Guy(which the crime is unknown and never stated, could also mean a setup). He took the fall and went back to jail and became a darker character from his formal self. He again broke out of prison and became an underground pit fighter in Metro City. During this time Cody was aging and his knees gave way to old injuries and arthris. Now not fighting anyomre he trains Kyle, his younger brother to pit fight, though has alot of potential, he is slow to pick up due to that he looses focus easy.

Cody then had news about a steriod drug named "GLOW" which can get him back fighting again. In a despirate move Cody used the drug and became involved with the a new gang. Highly addictive this druged enhanced Cody's abilities and became somewhat of a steriod freak(Think of Bane, Batman) which was all well  planned by Belgar's little brother Father Bella (Belgar). In a fight with Kyle on top of Metro City church under the control of Belgar and the "Glow" drug he managed to get control of himself and recognized that he was fighting Kyle, "Cody Death" launches himself at Father Belger, sending the two of them flying off the rooftop, with Kyle shouting after his brother. At the hospital, the drug was extracted from Cody returning him back to his formal self and it seems that his knees are cured! He's ready to street fight and pit fight once again aftr he gets out of the hospital.

 As for now Cody is either in the hospital still recovering or now with Kyle fighting again in the pit fight club or participates in streetfights and beating up punks again.
