More SFIV sightings in the wild: San Jose State University

Friday, August 29, 2008, 02:34 PM [Street Fighter]

Our plucky PR intern, Gerald Hom, just discovered that totally bootleg Street Fighter IV cabinets are lurking in the darkened bowels of the San Jose State University Student Union. Gerald helpfully took a buncha pics of the machines in question, so check out his blog if yer interested in seeing more SFIV grey market shenanigans.

Man, a million years ago I spent a whole lot of time down in this particular arcade -- it was filled with then-recent Capcom hits like Black Tiger, Mercs and Forgotten Worlds (my sixth favorite Capcom game!). The arcade was quite possibly the best thing about going to school at SJSU -- until I was old enough to get into the on-campus pub, that is.

That is awesome. I wish my school had arcade cabinets!

There's a pub on campus? I rarely venture around campus. Just go to classes and leave ASAP. I know they serve beer on campus though but no sight of any pubs...

I wish my current school had an arcade with amazing games like SFIV, it definately brings people together, and forms friendships which otherwise would have never been.... i really wish the arcade scene was more popular in this country... i mean seriously, not only is it ridiculously fun to play games like SF on arcade, but playing competitively actually makes you smarter!!! kids would rather sit around all day and watch MTV aka piss their life away than go to an arcade and have some fun?? what is this world coming to

It seem like college campuses are what still keeps the coin-op business alive...
