After much, much hard work and rounds and rounds of approvals, the Resident Evil 5 website quietly crept on to the internet last week, like a majini right before it starts the chainsaw. Last week was what we call in the biz "the soft launch" of the site, which means "We went live during Tokyo Game Show and weren't sure if the internet was going to catch on fire when we hit the Go Button." One week later, the internet is still a safe place to steal music from, so we're all good.

The new RE5 site is pretty damn cool and will be updated frequently, meaning new surprises, information and cool utilities in the days and weeks ahead. The site already has loads of videos, screenshots, game features, characters and more. Just mouse over the glow-y five towards the bottom of the window and all sorts of cool things reveal themselves.
