Perhaps lost a bit in the Tokyo Game Show shuffle was news that both Sengoku Basara Samurai Heroes and Ghost Trick to the US in 2010. Some of you are undoubtedly familar with the Basara series (the first game was rather unceremoniously released in the US as Devil Kings years ago), but Ghost Trick is a whole new beast. Part murder mystery, part logic puzzler, Ghost Trick puts you in the pointy, undead hair of Sissel, an amnesiac ghost of a man recently murdered. Yeah, it gets weirder: you can use your ghost powers to travel on cell phone networks, possess items in the world to scare away would-be assassins and rewind time by four minutes to prevent further deaths. Wired.com's Chris Kohler loves all things Ace Attorney, so he was naturally drawn to Ghost Trick, the games share similar developers and "spirit" <-- See what I did there? Check out his brief hands-on from our media suite to get a better sense of the game than I am capable of providing. He also calls it "Game of the Show," which I think may be a bit much, but we'll take it ;)

Definitely looking forward to Ghost Trick. It's cool to see Capcom trying out this type of game outside the Ace Attorney franchise (as much as I love it). TurboGirl |
