Now You Know: Bjork explains how your TV works

Monday, November 3, 2008, 06:02 PM [Random Weirdness]

I love Bjork. Everyone should love Bjork. People who don't love Bjork, you gotta watch out for them; they're prolly some kind of shape-shifting lizardperson bent on world domination. Or something. Just 'cause it's a rainy Monday, we present for you Bjork (circa Sugarcubes days would be my guess, based on her youth and giant hair) explaining how your TV works. I was half expecting rainbows and fairies to come shooting out of her set when she opened the back. Love her!

    Capcom vs., errr... everyone? RPG

Thursday, September 4, 2008, 07:18 PM [Random Weirdness]

According to Kotaku, Cross Edge is an upcoming RPG for the PS3 featuring a truly wacky cast of cross-company characters, including demon penguins, sexy maids and... the Darkstalkers?!? Guh? Felicia, Morrigan and Demitri represent for Capcom, throwing in with characters from Disgaea and some other random Japanese RPGs that I'm not actually going to pretend that I've ever heard of. Wanna play it here in North America? Go tell Namco Bandai!

Imperial Fleet Week in San Francisco

Wednesday, August 20, 2008, 12:37 PM [Random Weirdness]

Y'know, everyone always talks about how cool it is when the Blue Angels fly under the Golden Gate Bridge during the US Navy's Fleet Week in the city. But to be honest, I actually much prefer the sights during Imperial Fleet Week. The Death Star gently looming in the sunset sky, providing an incredible backdrop for the mountains on the other side of the Bay. AT-ATs stumping along the beach near the marina. And of course, you can't beat an Imperial-class Star Destroyer flying over the Golden Gate. Ah, summer.
