[PAST]

Progress was made in our stream runs of both Dragon’s Dogma and Dead Rising, and we spent some quality time in the PS2 classic Resident Evil Code: Veronica X, but the week is not over yet! To celebrate the May 26 launch of Ultra Street Fighter II on Nintendo Switch, Harrison will be kicking the collective butts of everyone else in the office… or at least just the ones that volunteered to be embarrassed in front of a live audience. Tune in to twitch.tv/capcomunity at 3pm PT to witness our attempts at fighting back. In the meantime, here are this week’s archives:

[PRESENT]

  • Friday , May 26th @ 3PM Ultra Street Fighter II

[FUTURE]

We’re actually going to take a tiny little break from streaming. I think we can all agree it’s been super fun, and we definitely intend on keeping a regular schedule, but for the next couple of weeks our streaming gear will be unavailable. There’s some travel involved, including a trip to Los Angeles, CA, so make sure to “Follow” our Twitch channel so you get updated as soon as we’re live again… in just a few w EEEks.

Some of the best Street Fighter V players around the globe have been competing for the ELEAGUE trophy for the last couple of weeks. The competition is about to heat up with the Playoffs, starting today, Friday May 26th, at 5pm (Eastern Time) on YouTube Gaming , or Twitch , or 10pm (Eastern Time) on tbs !

If you like Monster Hunter or cool concept artwork—or both!—then let me guide you straight to the Monster Hunter page on Instagram: @MonsterHunterGame . Most of the artwork featured there can be found in the first two Monster Hunter Illustrations art books, but whether you have those or not, it’s always nice to get some beautiful art in your feed. =)

Patrick Kulikowski: A few months back, our friends at UDON were taking fan art submissions to be featured in their Street Fighter vs. Darkstalkers comic series. One of our very own Capcom-Unity members, Relina R. Hernandez , wanted to share her submission with us for the Recap! This one pits Rashid, Akuma, and M. Bison against Morrigan, Demitri, and Jedah, and we absolutely love it! This bears the difficult question, though: which team do you think would win?

Thanks for sending this one in, Relina! I hope to see even more awesome creative works like this from our own community here.

I also wanted to give BIG props to our friend, nerdcore rapper Mega Ran for being able to win a match at a Hyper Street Fighter II: The Anniversary Edition arcade cabinet while deploying his masterful “Player Two” rap. You can see his skills at work via his Instagram . Multi-tasking like a champ!

STICKY NOTE: Did you make something cool? Send us a note or drop a comment below; we would love to feature your work here! Same goes for any awesome stuff you may see in the wild; we always welcome more fantastic fan work. =)

Till next time!
