So far, there has been some talk in the "What'd you notice trailer?" about features you'd like to see. Let's talk about them here! So far, we have:
What else can you think of? And, what do you think of what has been said. How could all of these be implemented? I'll start!
I think boosting is the main reason everyone wants a kick/ban option. From people using lag switches to having a friend help them in elimination, it would make sense to not want to play a ranked match with certain people. But, look at the bigger picture... What if they changed the way the ranking/leveling up system works? You know, updated it. Perhaps you wouldn't need a kick/ban option.

People actually playing Point Snatcher. That's right, I went there!
I'd love to see implementation of a Party System that seems all too unwonted in most XBL games. Conversely though, while the Lobby System is a bit outdated and archaic, it definitely serves its purpose fulfilling the very specific game types and set ups everyone goes after. Would be interesting to see how they would implement one for this game and still manage to satisfy the diehards to say the least, and just for that... I'm hoping we see it. |

A kick option like that of Left 4 Dead id good because we'll never know if there's going to be a disruptive player playing. Another feature would have to be the option to join in during a match in motion because sometimes, finding servers and waiting just only to get disconnected gets a tad annoying sometimes.

-Kicking/banning should be a team vote and not just one person. Everyone on that team must vote for that player to be kicked, not just one person. I been in a few games where the host thought he/she could do what they want when it came to kicking people. No mic, kicked out, don't play by the host rules: IE No Mechs, Kicked. Etc. -Don't care what servers are running the game as long as it is lag free or barely noticable. -32players is good but make it so the host can select how many players can join a room at one time. 1v1, 2v2, 12v12 etc and make the map adjust to the number of players. -Spawns needs to be fixed to having multiple spawn location. During some of MP games from LP1, if the majority of team members were in one spot, every one would keep spawning in that same spot. It was really bad spawing into a mechs shooting gallery. -More inside MP maps, like the cargo map. Most maps were out in the open and not many in house. Everyone seems to be designing these maps so snipers can have their day. -Being invincible needs to go, when knocked down online. -More Map Hazards like the maps that changed from night to day and became real foggy. Have one map where a horde Trilids will come out and just start attacking people on both sides. Or a moth will come out once in a while and just drop exploding pods on everyone. -Would like to have a party-system to move with friends from game to game. -Survival mode. 4man or 6man teams get to take on Akrids, one level after another. First lvl, teams will just take on Trilids. Higher up in lvls, it will be Trilids and Undeep. Even further, Trilids, Undeed and Dongos. Something along those lines. |

Other than the things mentioned, a party system for ranked games is a must for me but i don't want a Microsoft's trueskill match making system that takes ages to find a game and restricts my play style. A kick/ban feature is a good idea for ranked matches, but the decision to kick a particular person should be put to a vote in the lobby. (Maybe the hosts vote should count for more, as their in charge of the game.) A kicked person should only be band for one game (i.e the game they were kicked from). I've been thinking about the problem with people creating games with settings (e.g weapons, map, etc), that have the edge over people unfamiliar with the hosts style of play. So here's what i suggest; The host will not be able to specify the exact weapon, instead, they can specify things like close, medium or ranged weapons. In addition, they will be able to ban one weapon... The idea is the a player will enter the hosts game and will be presented with a choice of starting weapons. For example, if the host chose the close range weapons class, the player would only be able to choose weapons like a pistol, shotgun or flamethrower. Certain grenades should also be selectable. |

in the lost planet EC pc version at the end of a game the host has the option of choosing a rematch. and if the host says yes then all of the players of the option os either staying in the match or joining another one. if the host decides for a rematch all it does is go back to the lobby and w/e players say they want to play again will show up in the lobby instantly. i really liked this option because it was a way to bring a lot of players back to your matches easier. im surprised they didn't add this to the colonies version because it was a feature i liked. also with the kick ban thing its just too hard to decide. if you allow for it ingame people would boost and abuse the system. if you allowed it for the lobbies it would most likely be fine but im sure there is still a flaw with the system. people could still abuse it and ban everyone except for some select friends then when the game starts all the friends get on one team and the host just goes around killing them one by one. this would be another way people would use it to boost. just the problem i have with the kick ban system is theres so many ways to abuse it and people will find more ways plus who likes to get kicked from games anyway? i gaurantee you if you could kick people from games many people will kick the eliete players just because they didn't like dying all the time and the eliete players wouldn't be able to find games. if there was kick and ban in the non ranked matches theres no problem then because people can't boost and the non ranked games are less formal so you can get rid of people you don't want to play with without it causing any harm to any system.

1. Some sort of party system that allows me to always play with my friends and never against them (in both Ranked and Player matches). 2. Ping displayed on joinable matches/dedicated servers. 3. Option to turn off player names in-match entirely, or only display them within a certain distance. (Trying to snipe through a letter that's bigger than the player is a pain.) 4. Make it easier to identify teammates. (This is often done through color-coding, but I expect Capcom is avoiding that to retain player individuality. Maybe have enemies give off a red aura or some such?) 5. Implement a timed button press that allows players to "save" themselves from the majority of the various stumble/fall animations. For example, after a grenade goes off nearby and a player enters the stumble animation, an immediate button press will cause him to roll. |

a party system might be nice fi they can do it right. i always like it in resistance 2 because i can always play games with my friends on their team. also a better ping system would be nice. the ! mark really doesn't work. and if they had the option of letting you turn off players names thats fine. personally i like it on because if i don't see my allies name above them then i know to shoot at them. if it is off altogether i might see a guy walking around without a name and start shooting at them. maybe theres a better way to reform the system but im not sure how.
