That's called a beta . If they were to release a co-op multiplayer demo I would think it would be one month prior to launch. If there were to release another demo (competitive multiplayer) than I would think it would be released one week before launch and last a little while after launch.

I wasn't saying what i think Capcom will do, i was saying what i think they should do for the good of the game.

With the ability to patch games over the Internet, full games are being treated like betas in this generation mate. There have been many games were developers have made modification to a game based on the feedback froma demo.

If bots were to be included, then it's one mode I'd like to try out in order to familiarize with the game's new atmosphere and gameplay.

However, the only problem I feel might be the ability to adjust their difficulty level and the options they are permitted.

It was already mentioned, but just to eradicate any confusion, Takeuchi-san was talking about the characters in the campaign story mode.

If the technology is there, couldn't it be brought to multiplayer?

It would good if there was a game mode that used enemy & friendly bots online to make up the numbers or simulate larger battles (e.g. 8 real players and 20 AI). It would also make sense for the robot skin to only be available to AI control characters.

within the campaign i could see this leading to entertaining big battles, but i wouldnt welcome it into multiplayer.

I can speak for him but this is My reason, Computer AI is only as good as it is programed they tend to follow a Basic set of Instructions so you can find out its Patterns and Habit's and it is a Sitting Duck easy Kills, Easy Points, Easy everything AI In Mulitplayer Bore me they have never been a Challenge except in Red Faction 2

AND NOOO!!!!! my name has nothing to do with Mega Man X or Maverick Hunter Zero -_-

That's what I'm assuming Kaos' reasoning would but i believe that argument doesn't apply here. If they have already created AI that is good enough to play alongside you in co-op, it should be reasonably effective in multiplayer.

As i said originally AI in multiplayer could be the only ones who can wear the robot skins. Therefore you would know which enemy were the bot, and even if you could predict what the bots were going to do, wouldn't that be kind of authentic, as in real life, robots are AI controlled and would therefore be predictable?

At the end of the day, if you didn't want to play with/against bots, you wouldn't be forced to.
