Old topic but I gotta put my input in -- I say no way for ranked! B would be optimal but people take ranked way too seriously. Imagine a free-for-all Elimination match where one player is dominating -- all it takes is a bunch of sore losers to get that person out of the game for no legitimate reason!

I hated being booted for no good reasons in Gears of War 1 (albeit only the host could kick in that game) and other games that have booting in general (PSU, SCIV to name a couple). Yes, it could be used to get a genuinly disruptive player out of the game but that's what the mute/block communications options are for, and if they're glitching they can just be reported.

So I'm whole-heartedly in favour of B!

Pretty pointless. How do you know who to boot if the match hasn't started yet? Not everyone starts griefing in the lobby.

He means playing the match first, then afterwards banning anyone that glitched or played unfairly. Of course you can prevent anything from the first match untill it's over.

Ah! Sorry, misunderstood you. That could work too. The problem is there will pretty much NEVER be a kick/ban system that pleases everyone, and then there's the people who don't want one at all.

Yeah that'd be pretty cool. I dunno that we'd get an answer, but maybe some hints... If we do get an answe, I won't really mind one way or another what it is. I have my preference, but I can live with a different/no kick/ban system too.
