But they decided not to go in that direction. Let's discuss: would you have like to see this happen? |

I wouldn't like to see that happen. It fits Bionic Commando more then Lost Planet. |

i like the idea of the LostPlanet series incorperating meta-games into the action-shooter genre. and i do think this is something that will eventuall be introduced, if not in LostPlanet2 then in LostPlanet3 when they realise how successful LP2's going to be. Capcom has already introduced meta-game elements into the series, the ability to swing on your grappling hook in a circle, the ability to grapple onto a VS then shoot it a few times before you did a backflip off, day/night, whiteout cycles, the ability to dig VS's and weapons out of the snow. all of these small elements have been added because they add a depth and playability to the series thats not seen in any other kind of shooter. I would like to see Capcom take this further and add such features as the ability to grapple once while in mid-air but the grapple having a long cool-down cycle after that mid-air grapple. the ability to crawl and perhaps hide in sand or snow mounds (people already do this by crouching in undug snow mounds), the ability to tackle someone and perhaps wrestle with them for a few seconds (timed button press game, not a spam the button as fast as possible to determine who wins).when you grapple onto a ledge how come we cant hang onto the ledge by our hands and move? I also think that Capcom giving us the ability to choose (mix & match) our skins, and giving us the ability to choose or weapons before the begining of the match is a huge step in the direction of meta-gaming. everyone will love this ability, and everyone will want more of it.

You can already kill some of the smaller akrid with it... so it is sort of a weapon.
But otherwise, no. |

If you were to mass it on someone in multiplayer, they would end up falling the the ground so if you had no amo left, you could get away.
