Wow, I need to be able to unlock that insane looking diving helmet with the dreadlock styled cables hanging off the back! Looks like the front of it is being worn by the Pirate in the foreground in this pic, but I can't tell if the big cables are back there like in the video @ 1:41 (later as well in two other short cuts). Everything looks stellar, and those cinematics have to be the most polished I've ever seen in any game, the style is just oozing out of every frame. I didn't really want to have anything spoiled, but it's the most I've been able to see since the 360 demo. It was hard before, but now the wait is excruciating!

Basically the Akrid were imprisoned on EDN III by an ancient and powerful race of benevolent aliens that has since vanished. Before that the Akrid had ravaged world after world in a nearly unstoppable killing frenzy. The cold kept their numbers in check and now the prison is crumbling. A new wave of Akrid terror is on the verge of being unleashed.
Also, I'm starting a new campaign where we make up story elements until the game is released. Need more info and or a weekly demo. IIRC Akrid were kept in a dreamlike state and served as batteries for a race of sentient super-machines. |
