I was wondering what type of custom soundtracks this version will feature, one like what the 360 has or will it be similar to MvC2 and SF4??

Hmm even if it was possible. would you want to do that? i know that in the first LP i was listening to every sound i heard on the screen to not only see the red dots on the radar but also listen for them if their close. Sound is a very important part in this game and i do not think that it will change that mush from the original.

Custom soundtrack support for both systems might be nice in addition to standard soundtrack.  Occaisionally people just want a little of their own music.  So it might be cool to have the feature.

Also, for Lost planet the multiplayer had some music, but I wouldn't want to listen to it all the time I play so custom soundtrack might be a nice replacement in multiplayer with Lost planet 2.

I don't see what the deal is if you just get your boombox out. I do agree that most the time I like the game's soundtrack, since it was designed to fit the mood. Well, most of them anyway. Sometimes I think the developers put songs on a dart-board and put them in the soundtrack.

as far as i know there are only 3 moments in the online multi player game you can hear music.

  1. in the lobby
  2. last minute winning side
  3. last minute losing side

and that is it. so while playing online you only get music in the final minute.

You could always plug in an Ipod or Zune and play that during a match if you REALLY want to hear music during an online battle...If you don't have one just rip some CD's to your xbox, and if you don't have CD's then, well, I geuss your gonna need this thread! ; )

I like using it during multiplayer, it makes it more enjoyable. I have more fun listening to my music, but during the story mode, I listen to the games score/soundtrack.
