New Lost Planet Images Back To The Island And Helix

Thursday, February 25, 2010, 08:53 AM CET [General]

Who will pre-order Lost Planet 2 at GameStop locations in North America (Europe has once again no information on this) will be able to download two new maps where they can engage in battle during the 16-player multiplayer versus modes of Lost Planet 2. Originally announced as a GameStop exclusive, the playable skin of Resident Evil 5’s Albert Wesker and the powerful Magnum Revolver weapon received such massive demand, Capcom decided to give them to everyone who purchased the game.

    The new map packs include:

    Helix
The underwater NEVEC mining facility houses several layers and twisted corridors.  Swim between the layers, or dive to the bottom to change your point of attack.  Aqua Catapults can launch you to the upper levels in a hurry, and you must learn every corner and get the upper hand on your enemies.

    Back to the Island
The shady atoll of Island 902 is broken into wide open spaces and compact interiors.  Choose your battlefield from the beaches to the battered carrier, or explore a new dimension in the underwater battle.  Control the bridge to dominate the map, but beware attacks from all sides.

    Splitscreen

After months of speculation, the development team that brought localized splitscreen gameplay to Resident Evil 5 has confirmed that they will be doing it again.  With the introduction of two-player splitscreen gameplay to Lost Planet 2, gamers can join the battle for control of the precious thermal energy on E.D.N III alongside a friend from the same living room.

    taken from: www.kotous.com/news/lost-planet-2-kotobu...

In Tokyo on 1/26/2010,  Kotobukiya and Capcom jointly made a public announcement of the release of Lost Planet 2 PVC action figures from Capcom’s new action game Lost Planet 2, which is scheduled to be released on May 20, 2010 in Japan and May 18, 2010 in North America and Europe.  Lost Planet 2 is the next installoment in the popular action series Lost Planet®.  (Lost Planet®: Extreme Condition, the landmark third-person shooter that debuted on Xbox 360, went on to sell over 2.3 million units worldwide after its release in Japan.)

Kotobukiya Lost Planet 2 Action Figures are developed by the Kotobukiya staff and support of Mr. Jun Takeuchi, who is the producer of Lost Planet 2 and served as the producer for Onimusha® 3 and Lost Planet and chief producer for Resident Evil® 5 in the past, and other CAPCOM’s development team members. The figures perfectly replicate every detail of the armor and weapons as seen in the video game. They are the first and highest quality action figures to be produced for Lost Planet 2 and priced at $39.99. They are expected to hit store shelves in Japan in May 2010.

The producer and art director of the game is very excited about this product and they have given us encouraging comments:

    My Lost Planet Profile

Saturday, December 19, 2009, 03:53 PM CET [General]

Hi my name is Maikel,  I am a player from day one.

I play on the 360 (well actually 360's since i have 2 of them)

My accounts are: Maiky NiSuTe / Maiky NiSuTe 2 are the 2 profile's i have and use

Why i am playing Lost Planet: Like i said i have been playing from day 1 i own 6 copy's of the first one and 6 of colonies. i am not a high lvl player but people see me as a sportive player also i play for having fun and not for winning. I love when other people win to (sample: egg battle idv. ill get the egg up to there is 0:01 on the timer than ill put it down and play egg defender ^.^) Playing to have fun is more fun than playing for the win.

i am bad/avaredge at handling VS's but i van get them down really fast (i just love those dummy grenades)

    I am good at: "Clasified"

People sometimes say that i cheat when they cant find me. (most of the time they just fail to look up)

my favorite weapon is the VS rocked launcher.

highest kill with one shot: 5 (Training facility while they were grabbing a dattapost)

highest killing streak: 28 (15 minute battle @ Crimson River)

My favorite character is: I dont have a fix character.

my favorite map is Crimson River

My favorite game modes are: 2 team 16 player, Post grab, counter grab and akrid hunter, or individual 4 to 6 player egg bandit, death-match.

Friday, November 27, 2009, 12:32 AM CET [General]

As it has been 3 years already since we first laid hands on the First Lost Planet and its “Play with Capcom Lost Planet day” Capcom has decided you ship over some new images for us to feast our eyes on.

Akrid X, Gordiant (aka Salanader) and Red Eye are just three of the massive enemies that players will encounter in Lost Planet 2. If you have played the demo you will already know how team work is the key to defeating the mighty Gordiant and the same is true of Red Eye and Akrid X.

Check out the latest screens here to see the size of the challenge that awaits.
