November 10th, 2009. Modern Warfare 2, created by Infinity Ward, was released.
I went to the midnight release to get the game. I had ordered the highest level of release, the Prestige Edition, which came with the game, a voucher for Call of Duty Classic, a special metal case for the game, an art booklet, a plastic replica of Captian McTavish's head and a set of night vision goggles.
So, as I walked into the Gamestop near my house, I was promptly welcomed by a hyperactive female employee who offered free pizza and Monster energy shots and complemented my Metal Gear Solid 4 T-shirt. We had two hours before the game released. My mom got into the line to pick up the game while my brother and I took over the game screen. We got our first hands-on time with the game, and were extremely impressed. We played two versus two team deathmatches with other guys waiting, and I won every game I was in.
After dominating for two hours, we got our Prestige Edition of the game.

And a rear view of the box:
After opening the box, we found three more little boxes inside. One was the game and the art booklet:
Another was the Night Vision Goggles:
And the last was the plastic head to hold the goggles:
I put the head together first:

And then pulled out the goggles (Which really do work):
And positioned them on the head in the correct position:
I opened the game, and found the voucher for Call of Duty Classic, which I had totally forgotten about:
That is pretty much all that came in the box, aside from some plastic wires and tape. I've already finished the solo campaign, and it was nothing short of epic. Multiplayer is tight and very fun, and the new Special Ops mode is awesome.
If you got the PS3 version and want to play, my PSN is AGTrgger_
