So far they seem to have added simple things like a graphics filter and custom soundtrack support which could be done by a modder and a copy of the old game. It's a simple process and I'm glad they are doing that. I'd rather them not add any new content besides the online play and just release it. The faster they finish releasing it to PSN and XBLA the faster they can get to work on the enivatble sequel. The game is gonna sell greatly and Capcom knows that. I'm also hoping that fans don't act like idiots and complain about how little they change the game and exclaim that they won't buy it. It hasn't happened yet but we will have some flamers on the boards soon enough On a positive note THANK YOU CAPCOM!!!! |

You know, this release of MvC2 is earth-shaking news, and it'll likely be a really big hit. But you have to recognize that MvC2 has had extremely huge support for like 9 full years now. Capcom has spent almost a decade watching the community stay strong; watching the fan demand. They're fully aware of what's out there, and a re-release of MvC2 probably won't show them alot more than what they already know. The show of support that could be seen from this re-release of MvC2 is probably not that big compared to those 9 years. What I'm trying to say is that MvC3 is probably as likely now as it was when TvC came out, as it was like 5 years before that. MvC3 is its own beast, and it likely hasn't come to happen not because Capcom doesn't think it's profitable or possible or a good idea. After 9 years of constant support, it's likely other difficulties (completely unrelated to fan demand) are holding them back. |

Agree with the above post. The one we should be going after is not Capcom but rather Marvel. I mean they only allow capcom to do so much with there characters. Heck, even with this re-release they restricted Capcom on how the game should be formatted and what can and cannot be changed. Fans here at Capcom should sign up and start spamming requests for mvc3 at Marvell's website. Then maybe they will understand. Oh well, I'm happy that this game is getting re-released. Even if MvC3 never gets made. |

Like I said, the high expectations and demand for MvC2 has been evident for the past 9 years. This re-release is huge, but in terms of measuring fan interest and demand, it won't prove anything new. And like I said in another thread, inside the Capcom executive office, I'm sure it's not the same to say "let's make a new street fighter game" than to say "let's make a new marvel vs capcom". Developing a game with an in-house license likely implies a completely effort than to develop one for (or in conjunction with) another company. |

The only people who really know what goes on are the people who work there I take it your not one tas I am not either, Maybe we could get Sven or S-kill in this as they're names appear in the credits of SF4. They are the only ones who can say what titles get canceled because there isn't enough attention to it, or what titles get shelved in favor for another one.
